Car leasing question

If I were to lease a previously owned car...or maybe even a new one..Say the clutch goes bad half way through my lease. Who fixes it? Is it covered by the dealership that leased me it? The reason I saw previously owned is because was thinking about leasing a 99-00 car that just came off another lease. The car would have around 30-40k of use on it and if the first ownder couldnt drive, the clutch could be going soon. So id be leasing a car with a dying clutch? Anybody know anything about this?

YOU WOULD HAVE TO CHECK OUT WHAT KIND OF WARRANTY IT HAS. STUFF LIKE A CLUTCH, GENERALLY, YOU WILL HAVE TO FIX. THOUGH YOU CAN BUY EXTENDED WARRANTIES BUT YOU HAVE TO BE SURE AND FIND OUT EXACTLY WHAT IT COVERS.

a clutch shouldn't go in the first 3 years of the car's life. That definitely doesn't fall under "normal wear-and-tear" as defined in most automobile manufacturer warranty manuals.

Never EVER lease a car if it's already been leased. You're looking for a lot of trouble if you are. Think with your head and not your heart and either get a cheaper car, put more money down and finance this car, or whatever but DO NOT LEASE A PREVIOUSLY LEASED VEHICLE.

You'll run into so many maintenence problems that you'll wind up paying for near the end of the lease, it's rediculous. I used to sell cars....trust me.

Damn thats what i was thinking...I was looking to save money and insurance costs...oh well

I was thinking of getting a 350z instead. I gotta check that out though.

IF HE IS GOING TO GET A USED CAR, A PREVIOUSLY LEASED ONE IS HIS BEST BET. IF YOU ARE LEASING A CAR, IT HAS TO BE KEPT UP WITH MAINTENANCE AND ALL THAT SHIT IS KEPT BY THE DEALERSHIP. IF IT NOT IT PERFECT SHAPE AT THE END OF THE LEASE, THE PERSON WILL BE CHARGED A SHITLOAD OF MONEY. PLUS THE MILES WILL NOT BE TOO HIGH.

All my friends that had leases beat the shit out of the cars. They looked fine...but they were almost new cars and probably wouldnt make it to 50,000 with the beating they got.
