I owned one

never a problem, butt it inhaled gas

Yeah full size. Looking to get a truck. I'm serious about it now. My car bluebooks for 7900 so would expect around 7 for it (right?), and then i could put 3-4 grand down on top of that. Dodges seem to be the least expensive of the big 3. My grandfather has a 99 with a bajillion miles on his v10 and doesnt seem to have had any major problems.

I figure the dip in gas mileage wont be that bad because I average 17 city with my Sonata (fucking epa sticker was full of shit).

yeah..might as well get the 5.7l tho...You'll get the same mileage real world and have more power.

I'm not sure what is more popular in your region, NADA or Bluebook. Also, the KBB.com website is shit for consumers. It's always off in the wrong direction (lol)

Shoot me the vin# on your car and I can give you up to date accurate valuations (NADA & KBB) for it.

If you find a truck let me know and i'll tell you if it's a good deal or not. You should buy the dodges back of book (esp. the 4.7l).

Back of book means behind retail. So if The suggested retail price is $15000 you would want to buy it for less than that unless it's unique, extremely clean, super low miles or something out of the ordinary.

I got a '06 Crew Cab 1500 Ram with hemi i'll let go cheap. and an '07 crew cab ram 1500 with lift kit and wheels/tires.

butt you said they suck

so when i make an offer, how low should i start out? Ive never bought a used car before.

Depends on the vehicle...find a few you're interested in and I can give you a better idea.

I would say on avg. most dealers are grossing 2000 per copy to give a rough idea. With these trucks it's quite a bit more as you can see.

I think I have around a $4000 spread on the silver one. Lol

LOL my turbocharged VW averages 27 or better in town. On my 3.05 mile morning commute the trip computer will hit 30 MPG. Same route home in the afternoon I struggle to make 25. Home is much higher elevation than work, that's the difference.

I thought the Hyundai was supposed to be an economy car?

As for Dodge trucks, there's a reason why they're the "least expensive"...

The older hyundais don't do even close to as goon fuel mileage wise as the new ones. Hyundai really got their shit together

All you ever talk positively is about your teenie ass vw. The 4cyl hyundai have great economy. The V6 does not. :(

Actually I'd have preferred the Subaru WRX, but the local Subaru dealer offered me crap for my trade-in. The VW dealer was delighted to get a low-miles three-year-old car they could put a "Certified Pre-Owned" sticker on.

I've had 2 dodges before I bought my f250 and I had goo luck with both of them, but I would never have the 4.7l that engine I junk, the rocker arm assembly is the worst design is ever seen, a friend of mine bought an 02 dodge ram with 80,000 miles and it lasted to 88,000 and the rocker arm came loose and held te valve down and busted the piston, 4500 later his truck was runnin again

oh, yeah...and I don't care if you don't want my opinion...its an open forum and I sell chrysler dodge ram junk these days

I don't need to come with anything else than that. You have no idea what you're talking about and it is too much of a pita to type it all out on my iPhone.

right, because using something that monitors how a particular make model trim etc does at auction is clearly retarded.....

when you wholesale pretty much every pos you take on trade...and a dealership thats been in business 82 years can't possibly know as much as you do right?

Galves is primarily used in the northeast. Black book does pretty much the same thing. None of the fucking banks take either as a valuation when booking a deal. MMR can tell you the same exact shit and even that is worthless for the most part.

I highly doubt a Chrysler dealer is wholesaling every trade.

That's right tho, you're a green pea salesperson and you're an expert on dealership operations. Just like when you were a secretary at a repair shop that made you a mechanic.

right...because I went BACK to the auto industry I'm a green pea
secretary? nope...never actually

oh and we're technically a
volvo
chrysler
land rover
vw AND
subaru dealership

and they get priced at wholesale because if they age over 45 days theyre wholesale-d...at a loss if need be..
its OUR dealerships policy and every secretary, janitor, detailer, sales person, manager, assistant manager, F&I manager, service writer, and mechanic knows this
and again, 82 years versus...wait...how long has it been since you were given your job?

whatever

happy new year to everyone...even you dickhead

Omfg...you have a 45 day turn policy. Surely you're the only dealer Industry that gives wholesale for their trades and sets up a timeline to turn them.

Jesus Christ you're retarded.

the stealership can give you book then fuck you on the other end

I wished I had a dollar for every time I heard someone say "I traded my shit in at book and got the new ride at $100 above invoice"

oh and Mitch bant for posting personal info I have never made public on EF

have I ever tried to get you bant??? or talked trash about anything in your personal life ???? or anything even remotely along those lines??

not my fault you have poor impulse control and I might not want my works website posted all over EF

oh and the original point was...I dont know any dealership that uses kbb or nada as an actual basis for trade in value
because theyre fictional numbers...with the caveat that nada is closer to accurate than kbb

Everyone already knows where you work. Remember when everyone was making fun of the employee pics.
