Can't give out Karma!!!!!!??????

Ok! I havent given any out since midday YESTERDAY and everytime I try to hit someone back today, or give somone some, it says
"You have given out too much Karma today- try again later!"
????
How much can you give out in a 24hr period????????
I probably only gave like 5 yesterday.........
