Canned chicken

It does not tastes as good as real chicken but it is pretty convenient and somehow cheap

Just be careful w/ the sodium content

reminds me too much of tuna and I hate tuna......something about the smell of canned meat gets me real bad

Most of it does taste like tuna. I noted this on another thread. I thought can also.
However, I just finished a can that tasted nothing like tuna, but it specifically said on the can "chicken breast." May make a difference? But it was definitely salty.

I like to dump it in a collander and rinse it off. It gets rid of alot of the salt and the "canned" taste. I still prefer ground beef though

Canned chicken goes great on my salads.

Canned Turkey breast tastes even better, wash it first and add lots of black pepper.

I've just tried a "no name" brand of canned chicken

it tasted like cat food

I like it.. It depends on how you prepare it. I usually throw it in soy pasta with a light sauce it works well. As far as eating it out of the can.. I guess it wouldnt be a gourmet experience but as long as the cals are in the right spot it works.

Yeah, the "no name" stuff IS gross......I like the premium brands that say they are all breast, etc etc......costs a little more but you don't get as much of the gook.....

From what I understand Costco's canned chicken (Kirkland brand) is pretty good.....
