Candid Interview w/ a PRO BODYBUILDER!!!

largedr said:
I think that interviw should be taken with a grain of salt. I have talked to numerous pros, Tom Prince most recently on another board and this appears to be blown WAY out of proportion. People dont realize how much genetics and food play into the whole thing. Tom said he had to get tailored jeans while he was still a teenager and had just begun lifting. He said in one post that his yearly drug bill is about $5000, thats five thousand dollars, not fifty thousand. He said that at seminars people get pissed at him when he tells them how much he uses b/c they think hes lying. If you go to testosterone mag online and look up "dead man walking" there is an older interview with Lee Priest and he tells exactly what and how much he uses, and it isnt that much at all. Just from chatting with some pros, it seems most might do one off season and then one precontest stack, but they arent using any more than anyone else out there really. n fact there are plenty of people using a hell of a lot more that arent pros.

So, you're saying you believe these guys when they say they don't use much?!! Hey, maybe they just use protein powder! I remember reading that Lee Priest said he only uses 200mg of Deca and 200mg of Primobolan Depot per week, and that his family are genetically freaky. What a laugh!!!!
Wake up, man - they are LIARS and you swollow it!!!!!

Some other mag (maybe muscle media) ran a similiar interview some years ago. I don't know much about bodybuilding drugs, but I've seen lots of pros up close and in person. They are mind boggling big, much much bigger then they appear in the mags. The first time I saw Yates pose in person, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. He didn't even look human, and Ronnie is even bigger.

So I think its totally possible that they are blowing 50K a year on shit. There ain't no way a human can look like that using a safe amount of drugs.

why di i think its true? compete in shows and you will spend close to$ 5,000 easy ytrust me on this. most don't go off so they are awlays on something. my show coming up I spent close to $3,000 and its a local show not a antioanl. i don't take gh. i do take test ( all kinds) fina, eq, winny, deca, d bol anadrol, hcg, clomid, nolvadex, aldactone, and i to inject everyday. so i beleive there are cost we have no idea abaout and that there are things out there we are still learning about.

i agree 100%...until you do a show and spend all the money that needs to be spent you dont see what is really going on. these guys take insane amounts and if you want to be where they are you have to do it too. i am just glad there is someone else out there that sees the big picture.

I don't know what most of you guys look like or what your stats are but in regards to what HAZ was saying, I'm 20 yrs old and weigh 200lbs. at 5'7" I met Ronnie Coleman a few weeks back and took a pic with him. He is definetly HUGE, but I feel that his size is not unattainable. Not to take anything away from him or anything, but he actually looked Fat in a shirt. I am by no means saying that my physique compares to RC's in any way but I don't feel that these guys are "mind-boggling" huge. I do think that he is the best bodybuilder in the world, but his development does not seem like an impossibility if one has the desire, the genetics and the right "resources." I personally see myself at a solid 250lbs. by the time I'm 25, and on stage with these guys one day. But maybe I'm just an optimist. Either way, they all use massive amounts of drugs and Synthol etc., it's the only way for them to go. It's a FACT!

You have to see them in posing trunks to understand just how big they are. When I first met Yates, and Coleman, they were clothed and didn't look all that big. But as soon as I saw them in the flesh, my mouth went right to the floor. I'm serious when I said Ronnie's legs were as big as my chest. They looked at least 40 inches in circumference! And he wasn't 250 lbs either, thats competition weight. When I saw him he was 308 lbs! And he wasn't that fat either, just typical GH gut. Genetics can take you only so far.

Here's a link that 110% posted on the training board. It shows Ronnie in action.

very eye opening reading. i want to be high level and when i read this i think why does it have to be about extreme size?Im 5'9 and i would have to be 250 to be with the elite. i just cant see how thats healthy. I know this is one guys perspective but i know its pretty right on. i just kind o shook my head after i read it. but i still want to go on. maybe no0t tothe olympia, but at the very least to show that i can go pretty far without fear of premature death. good read though
