Can you still gain off cycle?

I don't know Almighty, before I used AAS I was natural for 8 yrs. and was at a point where I was lucky to get 5 lbs in a year, if that. Now that I'm about 20 lbs heavier, I have a hard time thinking I can still gain any amount of significant mass when my body really wouln't have even gotten to where it is w/o assistance. For me its all about maintaining what I gained during the previous cycle.

I totally understand that. I was referring to those who gain 15-20 pounds on cycle then lose it all after and think that the only way to gain it back is to go on another cycle. I can tell from your posts that you have put much time and dedication into lifting, so for someone of your caliber it is a different story.

The gentleman who made this thread, however, has obviously only done one mild cycle.

Good response and good perspective from both you and Dr.X. Thanks, guys.

of course you can, its just a lot harder to still gain muscle while loosing fat, i guess it just happens slower.

I usually don't do a cycle until i work back up to where I was at the peak of my last cycle. Once you work back up to that peak post cycle then it's time for another one.
