Can you identify this wood?

I think its Brazillian Rosewood, but not positive.

Velv: Same humidor, just inside and out. The deep red of the interior is lucious, but the kind of flame/tigers eye quality of the burl top and sides is really something.

I talked my dad into passing this beaut down to me after he quit smoking about 5 years ago, pissing my older brother off in a heavy way.

I think it's mahogany with a red stain.

The inside looks like (spanish?) cedar (could be mahogany) and actually the whole thing could be mahogany. The outside does have the movement found in brazilian rosewood but you know wood is funny that way it could also be a piece of crotch mahogany.

It is most definitely Brazilian Rosewood.

I would guess mahogany. Not familiar with Brazillian Rosewood though.

I had a piece of furniture that had that flame look to it and it was mahogany.

Nice humidor though. Definately collectible.
