Hi guys...I was looking for threads on this...couldn't really find much...as some of you know...I'm getting my (theoretical) first stack lined up, and am gonna give it a whirl...I've got a good training schedule...complete with HIIT style cardio (my specialty, actually) and and good to go...

Question is...the research I've done suggests that recovery time is greatly reduced with "A.S.sistance"....so do you guys find yourself with more energy, able to hit in maybe split sessions, more work, etc? I mean...I've got a pretty good exercise/set/rep scheme....but will I want to do even more once I feel it working?

Just want to know what you pro's do....if you've done it...has it helped or hindered you....

Granted, I plan on getting sleep, and eating like a horse (well, more like a tiger) and all that....but as the winter approaches...i'm going to have a few more hours spare time during the day/early evenings...

Thanks for the replies...in advance...

If I have time I'll do two w/o's a day while I'm on.

The ideal scenario for me would be early morning hard and heavy weights and early evening metabolic conditioning/ anaerobic conditioning or cardio... with a nap in between. Unfortunately, I don't always have the time to do it this way.

IMO you should increse the work load while you're on.

I've only managed to take two AAS's where I simply didn't feel I could overtrain. I was able to train 3 x per day in some cases (usually weights in the morning; aerobic/anaerobic bike session midday; 50 minute aerobic run in the afternoon; work from 5-10pm). One was d'bol and the other was 19-norandrostenedione. I have no idea why the latter was the case, especially given that deca did very little for me. It was probably packed with something else.

But it's certainly possible to overtrain, given that overtraining is governed by the sympathetic or parasympathetic nervous system (depending on your training type). However, given that overtraining will result from overburdening your system with toxic bi-products from training, and steroids help clear these, they make a difference to the likelihood of avoiding an overtraining state, in my humble opinion.

I lift twice a day when on. However If I was going to do back and chest during a session I switch the two a days to Chest in morning and back at night. I can hammer the bodypart with five diff exercises instead of two or three when doing two bodyparts the same training session. I try to push it as much as possible while on. WHy not take advantage of all the extra strength and faster recovery.

A little off topic but is that you in your avator 2raptors? If so what nation?

I think it depends on your body type. I read that mesomorphs can train hard and A LOT without overtraining if they eat right and sleep good. I train 5times per week and I do about 4-5 diff excersizes for the larger muscle groups. I have felt absolutley no overtraining symptoms unless I get a day or 2 where i dont sleep as good and i take a nice nap and bam im fine and feeling like an animal again. So for myself I would assume I could do two a days while on cycle if I really wanted to. What body type are you maybe that does affect more than we think I dont know but make sure you sleep a lot tho.

I have not taken a day off for over 20 days right now. Im running test, tren,eq and I need less sleep and have yet to feel overtrained.. When I feel a little slugish I take one day off and Im fine for another 10-20 days of straight training... When Im off I take it alot easier and go 3on-1off.

Yeah...that's me.....Taken at Gathering of Nations, '95. I danced Northern traditional for many moons.... Great grandmother was full penobscot/cherokee.... I have extended Navajo and Lakota family (Pine Ridge res)..... I don't dance anymore.....

I thought that'd make a GREAT bodybuilding routine...being NA and all...to come out doing a "sneak-up" in full regalia...and off it comes to a posing routine of new age native american music...

Anyway, BIG fantasy there...I'm too old, to fat...and to old to do it any more (did I say that already?)

Thanks for the note....though.

you are an animal dude! I'm not even on the cycle yet...and on some good dayz...i can get it a hard training session in the am....cardio (RPM/intervals, etc.) in the pm.... I'm just hoping I'm not "wandering around the house"...looking for things to eat adn over energized when I start.... I may try some other strength routines (maybe kettlebells) in PM...get the big liftin' done in the am (squatting, dl's, bench, pullups, etc.)

Thanks for the insight.....cheers
