can you cook with flax oil?

Is it okay to cook with flax oil? Some say yes, some say no... I have before but i dont know if that is bad..

If not what kind of oil should i cook with?

No. Flax is sensitive to heat and I have alwasy been told that cooking with it is a no no. It cant even be stored at room temp out of fear that it will go rancid.

It is sensitive to heat and light. Extracted Flax seed oil spoils at room temperature. Cooking destroys it. Only use it in shakes and vinigarets.
