keep in mind im bulking right now and i have an extremely fast metabolism....i was wondering if i could substiture oatmeal with oatmeal cookies with a few meals because of the taste factor..i figure the extra calories could be good?? im just concnered with the carbs and calories thoough i dont care about the fat or anyhitng else

peace

LOL!! Sorry Justin. Cookies are cookies, they're full of sugar. If you need to up your calories, it's best to do it with protein, low gi carbs, or even good fats.

im not worried about sugar, i just want carbs...im 18, skinny as hell and they are easy to make..still not good??

Well, if you're not worried about sugar, why did you ask? Since you're pretty young and a hardgainer, it's probably ok.

i was just asking if the carbs i get from oatmeal will help me get some quality carbs in for the day..i have no problems with protein but i never get enough carbs...

peace

Oatmeal is great in terms of quality carbs. But you have to remember that oatmeal cookies are less than a third oats. They're mostly sugar, butter, a little egg and cookie dough. So just know that you will be sacrificing some quality.

Well if your looking for carbs and don't care about the sugar in oatmeal cookies, then eat some damn carbs. Why are you eating only oatmeal if you don't care about sugar. Why not eat every other splendidly wonderfull carb filled thing on the face of the earth. Of course, try to make it at least semi low fat because even though you don't care about fat levels, if you eat carbs and fat at the same time you will get fat and hinder muscle growth.

So, how about muffins, glorious bread with jelly, bagels, cereal, cereal, cereal, yogurt, rice, bread, oh wait did I mention bread, pasta, oh man pasta, and anything else else in the world.

And if you really don't care about fat then hit the damn dessert cart. Pies, cakes, ice cream, cookies, its all high in sugar and fat.

My suggestion to you would be to just eat stuff like oatmeal, rice, sweet potato, veggies, fruits, yogurt, etc. etc. but eat more of it.

So could you tell I'm on a low carb diet? Huh, could ya?

Its simple... the oatmeal will help you put on lean muscle mass as to where the oatmeal cookies will help you put on mass... just a combination of muscle and fat
