Can Someone Tell Me Why

Everytime I post something - the entire background is greyish/black and says "Owned Owned, by the Platinum Members.." And I cannot see what I typed unless I highlight the post box ... ??? Uhhh...

I think it lasts like 12 hrs unless some really nice plat member defuses it for you.

I'm not sure who is bombing me. How can you tell? I know Swole was getting his thong in a bunch the other day but for what reason, I'm not sure.

I got accepted into the Doctorate program so I would rather be in that program. Once I start in the fall, I can petition to get a Masters along with my Doctorate ( I will be in school for 5 more years to obtain my Doctorate ), so I would probably be working on a dissertation as well as some other research project. Not to mention, a Doctorate is much more prestigous and nowadays, with Psychology, a Masters won't get you as far as I want to go...

I'm not on a lot - I just post a lot when I'm on because as I said, I like conversation. I was looking for a GOOD fitness forum and stumbled across this one which seemed to be the best out of all the ones I've checked out. I have my Myspace page listed under my profile so there are more pictures of me there so I assure you, I am not a made up person.... I can promise you that. I'm not that bored with my life. LOL.

I have not declared my area yet because as I said, I am a week away from graduating with my undergrad. Once I start making my class schedule for the fall, I will declare it. My focus will surround abnormalities, mental illness, child/adolescent psychology. And I'm sure it will change as I take more courses and learn more about the different areas. I am a huge believer in Cognitive Behavior Therapy specifically for depression and anxiety (since they are usually comorbid with one another). I also want to further research how environmental factors play a role in the development of specific psychiatric disorders... perhaps just as equally if not more than biological factors. I have a lot of interests LOL.

I also want to dip into criminal psychology and work with the freaks. Haha.

LOL. It's so funny because once you start taking all these courses, you tend to do that with out realizing it.. but I have a long way to go before I know nearly enough to truly do it. :) I analyze myself all the time - it's seriously sad. Haha.

Well I assure you that I mean no harm. I liked how the site looked and it's actually difficult to find a good fitness forum. Suspicious is fine... they will see I'm not here for any other reason besides chatting and fitness stuff.

As for the boob shot - try it on the next girl that joins.. tell her that you will send her a free pink shirt and matching undies.. I'm sure she'd do it.

Thank you. :) I am a BIG dog person. The larger one is a German Shepherd and the smaller one is some type of Shepherd mix (I think some husky). They are both incredibly intelligent and actually, both were rescued from the pound. So sad - the littler one was terribly abused and she still has issues (no joke). I'm a Shepherd lover. Always have been. I didn't post the pics of the other dog I had (I had to find her a home) but I actually found her while I was in Greece and ended up importing her here to the states.. she was ADORABLE. So sick though - Greece has such a problem with their stray dogs... the woman in my profile under my "hero" section actually helped me when I was going through the whole ordeal about getting her back here to the states...

Like I said ... HUGE dog person. LOL.

Very easily. I don't find the need to post pictures that will only produce more unwanted attention, in a manner I don't want to deal with (I'm sure the ladies know what I'm referring to). I also feel like women these days are WAY TO EASILY convinced... There is no need for me to do that.. nothing gained whatsoever so therefore, I respectfully decline. My body is strictly for my b/f... a trend that is not practiced much these days, among girls/women in general. :)

Indeed I did. Found her on the island of Santorini and had to leave the next day so I had the entire hotel staff on watch for her. I got back to the U.S. and got up every morning at 3am to call to see if she was found but no luck. After about 2 weeks I almost gave up but I called one night and someone found her and brought her to the local vet where she was quarantined until she was healthy enough to be shipped back to the U.S. It was insane but I learned a lot about wire transferring $, documentations, dealing with the Center of Disease and all that, etc.

And she was such a sweetheart. I visit her every now and then and keep in contact with her owners. She is living the good life.. compared to her days on the street.. so sad.. she was so sick - never seen an animal more sick in my life. I'm a sucker when it comes to animals... heart strings are pulled way too hard.

No no I'm not trying to be mean, just make a point. I don't think anyone should question/put down the fact that a woman does not want to post those kind of pictures. IMO, it has to do with self respect, dignity, etc. Just my opinion and I don't look down upon others who choose to post those, I'm just saying for me, not my route.

On a side note, I couldnt stand the sight of those gnarly dogs pics.....I love dogs but I am very squeamish at such sights as I cant stand to see the results of human cruelty...

Well my plan was this: I already had two shepherds and my dad said we could foster her... he usually falls inlove with any animal so I was thinking he would with her and we could keep her BUT, she really needed to be on a farm running around and I live in the city... and you can't have three dogs anyway (against the law). So, I found her a home with a young family who have a HUGE lot and she absolutely loves it. Can run all she pleases and play with two little boys.. that's what she needed. I wish I could have kept her but this is best for her.. no doubt.

The larger Shep is 10 and the littler one is 8. Getting up there. =( Yes humans disgust me at times.. very much so. No wonder I want to study them.. LOL. I want to build a foundation so I can support myself in my future endeavors involving animal rights... difficult area.

Definitely don't visit the site I have listed in my profile (www.wagny.org) because it's all about the woman who I deem my hero, who fights for these animals globally. Absolutely amazing woman...

I don't think your g/f would like it if she saw that post. I am done with finals in a week and I want to get a job at a Veterinary Clinic until I start school in the fall. I'm going to the FL keys with Peter in July to swim with the dolphins (I've done it before but it was awhile ago so I can't wait) and I am really excited - school is tough and I need a break!

You should try it sometime! It's fantastic. Those animals are simply amazing and so intelligent. Dolphins.org is their website. I think once I get my Doctorate and I am practicing, I may want to move to the coast and pursue Marine Biology... LOL. It's what I wanted to do when I was little but they make barely any $ (and while money isn't everything, you definitely need it), and then I fell inlove with Psychology. We'll see.. Flipper rocks. Hehe. Whales, too.

Oh and P.S. Do you KNOW how girls think? LOL. She'd never say that but probably think it.. girls are jealous creatures, my friend.

I used to do those crazy competition diets and then I finally snapped back to reality. I love food so I have no idea what the hell I was thinking when I was doing those..

Yeah - I wish I needed calories like that. Although I actually do eat a lot for a person my size and I don't gain the weight which is nice. I could probably eat 2-3 foot long subs (Subway) in one sitting (on a good day). On a normal day, probably closer to 2. I love pizza but I try to eat healthy.. subway is about as far as I go usually..

What do you mean specifically? In terms of food my parents always ate healthy and raised my brothers and I to eat healthy. So I guess I developed good eating habits. Education is a must in my family... not forced but definitely emphasized... uhm, what do you mean "brought up?"

Perhaps. In my opinion, I think it has a lot to do with how you are raised and what you are taught. Role models are a must. My mother is a great role model for me because she is very driven and respectful of herself. She is an incredibly keen business woman and no one pushes her around at all and I got to grow up witnessing that so I think that is part of it. She never used anything but her brains/intelligence/motivation, to pursue her goals and become successful. That's probably where I get it from. I'd rather be respected for my intelligence, dedication, passion, etc, than physical attributes... actually, if you're talking about being respected strictly because of physical qualities, I'm not sure if I would even consider that respect, you know? Who knows...

That's not what I'm talking about. I am talking about the whole concept of women posting pictures of their boobs, bodies near naked, etc. Most women in society today do that for attention - it's a given. I mean who wouldn't want it?

I respect anyone who dedicates themselves like body builders, fitness competitors, etc. Heck I used to train like that and it's hard as hell - of course I respect them. You misunderstood.. I was talking about the above point...
