I need a really small MP3 player so I can take it with me on a run. It doesnt have to store a thousand songs or anything.

intel and nike both make good small mp3 players. basically if you're going to be moving around you want an mp3 player that uses flash memory and not a disk drive that can get damaged if moved around too much.

Check out the BA350. I got mine about 2 weeks ago and it's awesome. It's roughly the size of a zippo lighter and super-lightweight. It has 128MB of built-in memory and you can add in another 128MB externally.

Definitely worth $200.

What NB Said.

I have an I-Jam MP3 player. It's the lighest player out there right now (or was about a year ago). Honestly, I often forget I'm wearing it -- if only wieighs about 2oz without batteries.

I got mine for $200 when MP3 players first hit the market. lol I shoulda waited for a year or so. You can get one for about $70 these days. :)

BTW, be sure you have a battery charger. Those players suck down a lot of juice.

i have "the yepp" by samsung. its small, cheap(under 150$) and it comes with 64mb of built in memory.. you can add more memory via slide in memory card.

INTEL POCKET CONCERT, the #1 selling MP3 player.

I got this one for x-mas. It stores 128mb of memory. Which is roughly 35-40 cd quality songs. It is the perfect size and it has a special driver or something but it is loud as hell. I have it at half the volume and it is plenty loud. The cool thing about it is that you can use Music Match(which is comes with) and you can take your mp3s and make them a smaller kilobyte per second so you can fit more songs on their if you need to. But I have never had a workout last 3 hours which is around what the Intel Pocket Concert holds. Iron

I had the pocket concert too. Notice I said I HAD one. Somone broke into my car and jacked it and some other shit.

The only drawback to the Intel pocket concert is that the memory is not upgradeable.

I ahve a Sony, the little blue stick one. It is awesome, but expensive... rechargeable battery, though. Best if you can pay that much.

I have an Intel and it's wonderful! The charge lasts forever, it sounds awesome, it's super tiny (although I clip it on the back of my pants when I am working out and it makes my a$$ look HUGE in comparison  :D )

My only complaint is that it comes with the behind the head headphones which I don't find comfortable.

Im still surfing for the lowest price, seems like $200 is the best, like on Ebay, etc..only complaint I have read online was that it has a very cheesy head phone connection and breaks easily...did you notice that?

yeah, the reason why that's the case is because it's all plastic which makes it light as hell, so of course durability is compromised.

Actually intel makes another MP3 player that has expandable memory

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005OM4J/102-0299489-7184175

if it's as good as the poket concert thing than I'm gonna buy it. it's currently expandable to 172 MB, and look for that to go up as flash memory capabilities increase.
