STU, let me ask you this: If they were made for chicks in skirts, than why do they still make the bikes in that fasion?

Because that is what is expected and looked for when people buy bikes now. People are used to familiar things, and buy things that are familiar to them. I am sure in 100 more years girls bikes will look differently, but it will be a gradual change not something quick, and people will associate girls bikes with whatever attributes they have then.
