My computer recently crashed and wouldn't start up claiming that the file
C:/WINDOWS/SYSTEM32/CONFIG/SYSTEM was not there or corrupt, I installed another version of windowsXP on the harddrive but I now need to put this file back in my old windowsXP, I can't copy it from the new version because it is always being used to run windows, does anyone know where I can download the file I am after???
Any help would be much appreciated, thanx!!!

p.s. I have tried Microsoft.com but ha no luck.

Can't you boot from XP select the option to repair an existing version of XP?
