But that argument does show the duplicity of US foreign policy and is the very reason the world is in a state of shit at the moment.

Until you guys can sort out exactly what the fuck you are doing with foreign policy, aside from self serving......the world will always be a much shittier place.

I agree that they are interesting facts of our past foreign policies, but the left uses them as an excuse to not attack Iraq. There really is no duplicity. Iraq was less evil than Iran so we supported Iraq. The Taliban was less evil than the USSR so we supported the Taliban, etc... Those groups then turned and became the primary evil so we have and will continue to destroy them.

don't use that "Freeing the oppressed peoples from squallor and corruption" reason to do so.
I live less than 4 hours drive from the Texas/Mexican border, where peasants live in unbelievably sqallid shacks, no running water, and untreated sewage in open ditches draining into the same river they get their drinking water.
They're being murdered by drug lords and drug runners, headless bodies turn up in the bushes, and Nobody is lifting a finger to "liberate" them.
This war isn't about "helping oppressed people".
If it is, you don't have to go half way around the world to find them.

I am guessing you mean the Mexican Citizens. Oh they're being liberated. All they gotta do is make it to the USA and the bleeding heart Government will hand them green cards. They do it all the time in AZ. With the arguement "ohhh they suffered enough, we'll let them stay."

Or "well we're more concerned with the mules smuggling them, so that is our target. Right now Coyotes and terrorists are our concern, we have no time to stop them from coming here, so we'll let them go do their thing."
