1. What advice would you give to a person who is now establishing a personal training business? Market yourself well. Dont expect business to pick up to fast. Be careful what services you provide free of charge and to whom because it may comeback to haunt you. Its a great tool for prospecting but if you do it to often or to many times for one person they will expect it all the time. Offer referal incentives to existing clients such as two free sessions when a friend purchases a certain number in advance.

2. What is the most rewarding aspect of your job? The clients enthusiasm as they see their own progress.

3. What is the least favorite aspect of your job? Working with extremely unmotivated clients, or how everyone does not understand "why cant you just write me up a program to follow for a few bucks?". This will be tempting but do not EVER do this!

4. What would you change about your job if you could? Why?Nothing

5. What type of clients do you prefer to work with? Why?Athletes. They are extremely motivated and you can get the most creative when it comes to there exercises and workouts in general.

6. How do you reduce liability?Document everything. Get a physicians clearance if you have even the slightest doubt about their health, have insurance.

7. What is your client evaluation process?Always do a consultation with a questionare covering medical conditions, past injurys, past workout history, goals, motivaiton for these goals, and cover their commitment to these goals.

Before you become a trainer you will need to know the basics of sales to have any success at all so read up on sales and how to close.
