I am trying to get a background jpg image to come up into the program so i can designate certain areas of the image to be hyperlinked to other files...anyone know how to accomplish this?

not sure if thats possible, but you can certainly split one pic into four quadrants, use exact positioning to place them so that they look like one image. That way, you can have the different quads url to different places..

Have you ever seen what you want? If so, d/l the page, and copy the HTML for the image pointers...

If you're talking about a BACKGROUND image that is in the <body background="bg.jpg">, then I don't know of any easy way to do that (but I know how to do it, but let's hope you're inquiring about my second assumption).

Now, if you're talking about designating parts of an image within an <img> tag, you can use what is called an Image Map. I don't know how to do that in Frontpage since I don't use frontpage... but if you want to do it in a real man's html editor (notepad :)) you can do this:

<MAP NAME="MyMap">
<AREA SHAPE="polygon" HREF="1.htm" COORDS="x1,y1 x2,y1 x2,y2 x1,y2">
<AREA SHAPE="polygon" HREF="2.htm" COORDS="x1,y1 x2,y1 x2,y2 x1,y2">
<ETC...>
</MAP>

and then use <IMG USEMAP="#MyMap" SRC="image.jpg" BORDER="0"> for your image tag.

and stuff

take a look on any peer-to-peer or newsgroup for *.pdf and you will find more than a few html/xml/photoshop 'freebies' Also if you are on the news groups you will find a million photoshop plug-ins.

I wish you luck.
