I understand the differences in our countries.
Between Democrat and republican, Conservative and the NDP
But the specturm goes beyond that.
What are the characteristics of the far left, and far right?

The far left is characterised by pot smoking, hair growing lesbians.

The far right is characterised by god faring, gun toting kiddy fiddlers

I'm somehwere in the middle

righties fo' life. i dont mind lefties but righties are just better. They usually give better handjobs due to the positioning advantages and lefties are statistically more likely to have an accident. but only the latter would affect legislature and politics dealing with rightiest and lefties

Plain and simple. It's "dumb and dumber". Democrats and Republicans. I'm neither, I'm for "getting shit done".

The political spectrum really isn't a "line" between left and right like most people describe it as. It is really a circle. You see, communism is as far left as you can go, and facism is as far right as you can go, these two systems are essentially the exact same thing in practice, just two very different ways of looking at it. The USA has a pretty good balance between the two.

In some countries the American systme is called "The perfect Socialism" and they are right. We have the almost perfect balance of both hands. Sometimes Americans think that having only 2 candidates, one Republican and one Democrat is bad, but I think that's a product of a perfectionism of the system.

See thats what i thought
The farthest left is communism,
and farthest right is facism.
But they end up being the same thing?

I always thought more goverernment, and more state control was a leftist sort of thing.
But arent those also the characteristics of facism, which would be far right?

Yes you did.

Seems to me like The far right would be total anarchy. No government, no interference in the economy. Far left would be lots of government, centralized economy etc.

the way it should work is (but doesnt)the right draws the lines we shouldnt cross....the left gets rid of the lines we dont need anymore.

Correction. The Left tries to get rid of the lines they don't want anymore.

You are putting the right as an authority and lawmaker...and the left as a criminal revolutionary and even terrorist-like. I agree 100% with that, because that would be like a center-right compared to a extremist left. Now if you tell me that you feel identified by that left, expect some dudes watching you with binoculars all day long....

THe right side is where all the evil bastards reside. Notice, I didn't say that all on the right are evil.

Yeah, Joseph Stalin was on the left, what a great individual.

Fidel Castro = LEFT, 100% liberal...revolutionary! what a great side! Awesome! an example for the world!

Stalin was a fascist who was pretending to be a communist. Same with mao, fidel casto, etc etc. Nobody has ever done "communism" yet

The question sucks because the current definitions of left and right are too vague and depend on the person giving the answer
