My issue was I was a marathon runner in the first post... I stopped running so much and over that time frame the only exercises I did that would target that region:
Dead lifts (with bar and heavy)
Walking lunges,
Butt blaster,
Hams curls seated and lying,
Cable kick backs,
Plyos = jump squats, partial jump squats, jump split lunges, step ups (all unweighted)
I did not do all of that at once... It was cycled over different periodizations.
4 weeks I may do 10-12 reps, then 4 weeks 6-9 reps, then 4 weeks 3-6 reps, then back to 10-12 reps. Time under tension all changed, as well as time between sets, and the order in which I did them. Most importantly I think is visualization... Seeing the muscle that you are trying to work in your head, and also motivating yourself as to what you want your body to become.
No, they are short, she had some operation when she was a kid to lengthen the one that was really short, it stems from her fahters side of the family. Her and her father walk on their toes most of the time. Our two daughters walked on their toes when they were younger but have grown out of that, our son who is two walks on his toes about 90% of the time right now. Depends on the exercise, depends on the order of the exercises, depends on the tut, depends on the rep range for that period, If I superset, I may strip weight, or pyramid weight.... Weight depends on a lot.. but one thing has always stayed the same... That is the goal every week, to lift more then the week before. So every session is a new personal best. I don't lolly gag, I don't stay light, I push until I feel every fiber or the I'm going to hurl or pass out feeling comes over me.
