I'm a bit confused about calories. Ok i see guides that you should multiply your weight by 12 for each lbs to get your base well i'm male 23 and 130lbs (i fight at a low weight class and dont intend to go up weight classes this year)
so 130 * 23 = 1560 calories
that seems ridiculously low especially since i train high intensity at least 12 hours a week
right now i would estimate im getting about 2500 calories, maintaining weight but i often feel weak
my estimate that some of my sessions burn over 1000 calories and yet i maintain my weight.
also protein, i've been recomended to eat 1g of protein per lbs of body weight so im at around 130grams, fine but then if i plug this into a ratio of what i'm following at the moment (40p. 30c. 30f)
it comes to 1300 calories!!!
ack
what's a good estimation?
should I eat more than 2500 calories or use it as a base and then eat more depending on my workout (by estimating how much i burn during the workout?) or should i be eating something else?
I keep my carbs to 30% because i seem to put on alot of weight if i eat too many carbs!
it's all so confusing!
