We had like 4 days straight that were 100+ degrees a couple weeks ago... That would def. affect the insulin if it wasnt thermally protected. My buddy is a diabetic (on a budget - no insurance) and he tells me that the insulin becomes less effective (still drops his blood sugar, but not to the same extent) when it gets too warm for too long ... like if it were left in his car. He ran that by his dr. and the doc agreed.

Sucks to have to order seasonally, but i'd say, if you have to order from a source that doesnt thermally protect it, dont order in the summertime?

bump for this question, I just had some gear shipped to my house and I couldnt check the mail for a few hours cause of work and when I finally checked it it was pretty damn hot so it should be ok right??

Also given what I just stated will that ruin a shipment of igf-1lr3??

Most companies will ship it with a cold pack to keep it cool for you.

1 bump.

I know at work we keep the bottle of Regular Insulin that everyone is drawing off of in the Pyxis machine with all the other drugs. It is not refrigerated. So it has to be ok to keep it in a cool dry place for a bit.
