I'm going to climb a ladder up to connect my cable. They have those black lock type screw on the terminal which requires a certain socket to get it off to allow the cable jack to be connected. If you heard of this, let me know what to do

BRO IF YOU USE A REALLY SMALL FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVER, THERE ARE TWO LITTLE SLOTS ON EACH SIDE-INSIDE OF IT. PUT THE SCREW DRIVER IN ONE OF THE SLOTS AND TWIST IT WHILE YOU MOVE THE WHOLE THING AND IT SHOULD COME OFF. THIS IS IF YOU HAVE THIS TYPE. P.S. I DONT DO CABLE BUT I KNOW SILLY SHIT LIKE THIS.

I used to do cable, but it sounds like your locking nut is different than the types I installed in Canada..
If you can't get the thing off, split someone elses.. Go to radio shack, get a two way spliter and a short piece of coax.. Conect the splitter via the short piece of coax to the spigot, and re hook your neighbor and yourself to the other side of the splitter..
I've seen some older tube type locking devices they put on the connector..
Boss was right about that, take a flat head force it down to the connector, try to line the flat of the screwdriver with a flatside on the connector...pry outwards and turn everything all at once...

One more thing, you should be able to take that nut off with the screw driver, save the thing, put it on your home line, that way when you re-connect it, it appears professional!

The type they use in Canada, called a terminator if you'll believe that.. Anyways when you turn it, the whole thing spins, so you can't remove it, without the proper tool.. I was so amazed by this device, I had to figure a way to beat it.. I did heres how:

If you use a hacksaw and cut half way (approx) through it, then take visegrips or good channel locks and squeeze the shit out of it where you cut it.. Once you have a good grip, you can turn the whole thing off... There is an inner sleeve, that is where the thread is, so when you spin it, it doesn't undo, but if you cut and pinch it, you'll defeat it..

The cable company puts on filters that block certain channels, they are about three inches long and metalic, somtimes with a stripe on it.. Remove these, they will give you more channels...

BTW, I keep my tools when I quit the company, it makes me some money on the side...

In some cases the box allows a digital image, it is something of a decoder, translating frequencies into the picture you see, something your regular set doesn't have built in..
