Does the calcium from shell eggs is well assimilated/absorbed ?

.

i wouldn't know if it is absorbed but even if it is. arghhh man eating egg shells?

But would still like to hear a reply to this to so bump

actually when I harboil eggs, sometimes I cook em too long and the shells flake instead of peel right off so I end up eating some of the shell its actually pretty good no flavor but adds a crunch like bacos for eggs instead of salad or something.

Bump curious if the shells give an calcium or are complely indegestible.

I have the answer :

"The calcium carbonate shell can be used as a calcium supplement in both animals and humans. "

... and if you look at your mineral supp. you could also find Ca carbonate...

So, you can eat some egg shell but it may be easier to first disolve it in vinegar or lemon juice

sweet finally found how much calcium is in an egg shell.

The egg shell contains around 94% CaCO3 (Calcium Carbonate), which by weight, an average egg would contain 2 grams of calcium
