Buying new car which would you pick

So i am about too get a new car. And i am having a hard time thinking about the car i want. It will be ethier a 2006 lexus gs300 or a 2006 mercedes benz E350 my heart is telling me the spend little extra cash and get the benz but my brain telling to save a cash and get the lexus. So which would you pick and why?

I would pick the one with 4X4, selectable, had enough room for a bed in back and could go 0 to 60 FAST. If it can get me through 30 inches of snow so I can ski when everyone else is stuck at home in that BMW or MERCEDES, I want it.

I didn't see JEEP or LAND ROVER in there.

I like the GS a lot, but mercedes has been picking up momentum lately.

Went to the san diego car show and I was bored as hell with the BMW section, impressed with the mercedes section (though overpriced) and pleased with the lexus section.

Lexus no doubt. My SC400 has 288,000 miles now and not a problem. Benz's spends more time in the shop than on the road.

I have a tahoe and I saw the 07 tahoes with the new body style. I think I might have to do that. Personally, I got used to driving a full sized vehicle and can't go back to anything smaller. Just me tho.

I have the 06 gs300.

I like it a lot. The voice activated shit works, it is very powerful and fun to drive, handles quite tightly, and is so quiet you don't even know it is running....at 100MPH. it's a really good car.

Be different ... buy anything GM or Ford.

Foreign cars are passe and over rated.

Mercedes doesn't compete with Lexus until you get in the + $70,000 price range.

As for the Lexus having no soul, well, Mercedes sold theirs to the devil with Chrysler merger.
