Buying a TV, flat screen 27" or 32" regular?

My budget is $550.00 for a new TV, now here's the question do I go for a 27" Toshiba flat screen (which is real nice) or a regular 32" 'round' tube television?

I have a DVD Player for the TV so I want the best picture. If sound quality is equal which one is better? my living room isn't huge but it's big enough for a 32".

27" flat screen or 32" regular. Which would you go for?

if you are moving anytime soon - then I'd just pick whatever it heaviest because those are always the most fun to lift.

why not go with a Sony Wega?

Sony is too expensive! They are just out of my budget. Bare minimum is a 27" I want with this cash. All I see on bestbuy.com for a sony is over 6 bills.

there is a sony wega 27" at amazon/circuit city for 550 (548)

Hey Muscle

I don't know a fucking thing about these TV's but I can tell you I visited my brother-in-law the other day and he had a 27" Sony Wega with the Sony surround sound and all and I couldn't get over the clarity of the TV picture. Awesome setup but I don't see putting that much money into a good system. Different strokes I guess. That system was nice though!

Flat screen TVs are frigging front heavy. Ours was pain in the ass to get into place, but well worth it.

the glass has to be a lock thicker b/c it is a less strong configuration than a curve. so it is heavy in the front there.

Do they have TV's that you can fuck? Because I have this great porno I that I bought. I think it's only natural to be able to fuck a TV.

Maybe I'm on to something.

Definetly depends on your viewing habits and distance. I used to sell them and i'll tell you if you are watching a lot of dvd's then a good 32' is the way to go, unless you are sitting on top of it then go with the 27 flat.

The wide screen ( 16 x 9 ) will kill ya on a smaller tv. If you look for a brand, Jvc is probly the best for your money.

Whoa I just bought that exact same Sony last night. THey had one at circuit city that was returned by someone and it had a tiny little ding on it and I got it for 450 instead of 600. The picture is amazing compared to my last tv. The fifth element is cool as hell on it. Can't wait to watch the matrix

Your thread, and a very nice pay check this week, made me decide I need a new tv for my room. Going from a 19 to a 25 or 27. Nothing fancy.

IF YOU WANT ANYTHING GOOD, USE THE $550 FOR A DOWN PYMT AND FINANCE THE REST.

500 BUCKS WONT GET YOU SHIT!!!
