So I get the bike out today and try to go for a quick ride to check things out. About a 1/2 mile from the house the seat snaps off and my left nut is hammered. I let out a loud roar from the pain and nearly fall off the bike. Sheared the bold right in half. So I come home and raid the wifes FS bike for a seat bolt and I'm back in the woods in 30 minutes. I should start checking the bike for problems before I ride.
Either will probably be ok. The difference will be feel, and that can vary from one manufacturer to another. Like someone else said, you need to hit up a LBS (local bike shop) and try some out. Also it may depend on how you like to sit, how far forward, etc.

oh wow! I'm sorry to hear that! hurting the "boys" ain't nothing nice.
at least you didn't hurt yourself since you went riding again, but it just makes my boys crawl up to think about missing the seat and sitting down......ouch.
