Its pretty simple really. At low intensity (% of Vomax) Aerob fat burning is the main resource of energy. Because the body dont need energy fast, and can wait the amount of time it takes to break down fat into energy. But if you increase the intensity, your body needs energy faster, and then it uses aerob glykogen breakdown to get energy. And if you have a very high intensity you use Anaerob glykogen as energy source.
At very low intensity you burn more fat than glykogen (25% and less) when you get to 75% you burn equal amounts of glykogen and fat. But the amount of fat you burn is greater than at 25%. But as a bodybuilder you should keep a real low intenity to get the best effect. Also, do it when your bloodsugar is at its lowes to get the best results.
it beasically looks like this:
Fatburning:
fat + oksygen + ADP = carbondioksid + ATP + water
Karbohydrat breakdown:
Phase 1: Glykoce + ADP = Lactic acid + ATP
Phase 2: Lactic acid + oksygen + ADP = carbondioksid + ATP + water
Creatinphosphat system
Creatinephosphat + ADP = creatine + ATP
i think this is right..its to early for thinking yet
