I am not familiar with this slang , and I wanna know when you guys use it and what does it mean so I wont get confused if I would get a "bump" reply!

when someone says "bump," the want the thread to go to the top of the discussion board. So when i'm finished typing this, it will be at the top.

I have noticed that sometimes two or three guys in a row they would post BUMP.. That doesnt make to much sense to me!

Why someone want that the thread go to the TOP? Is the original poster usually who want the thread "bump"ed?

Is that done because the thread is an interesting one?

And right away another guy "bumps" again!!

im sure it is b/c this person, not the starter of the thread that bumps it, is also wondering the same question and wants it answered to. by bumping it, it is gonna be at the top which means more ppl will see it, which means it will have a greater chance of getting repliesssssssssssssssssss.
