Bumming smokes

Ive had to grub some smokes at school lately cause of my lack of funds. i try not to but being a smoker for many years its hard to try and put smoking a butt for awhile. I live in NY and smokes are like 7 dollars now, and I hate to be an asshole and grub. I know when people bum smokes from me I give them one and don't really care.

Do you think people get really pissed off about people asking for a smoke and they don't even know you?

Stupid question, but was just wondering other peoples feelings cause I don't seem to mind that much.

i think it's kinda in the smoker subculture to be fairly generous w/smokes... i know it never bothers me if some random person asks me and i have 2 or more left... can't have my last smoke though, fuck off!

well at my age (16) when i see kids my age bumming smokes i think that is pathetic.

I can't help what I feel. The cigarette smokers at work disgust me. I don't know how some of them keep their job with their drug addiction. They have to go outside 20 times a day and you can see the desperation in their faces--- they've got to get that shit into their lungs. It fouls up the air so that when you walk outside where they hang out, you have to breath that nasty stuff and it gets on your clothes. Gross, gross, gross, gross.

Until I started hanging out with my cousins at school, i hadn't smoked in 6 years. Well, I started again thanks to them. I bum off of them because I refuse to be a smoker again. LOL, they get mad now so looks like I am just going to quit for good. It's nice to have a smoke every now and then though.

Im just a social smoker so I never have smoke, I have a smoke about 4-5 times a week, I dont think there is anything wrong with bumming.

Its Like the golden rule, or Karma, If I have smokes I will bum to ya, no prob, I actually dont know many people that get mad about it.

I've always believed it's common courtessy to offer a quarter for a bummed smoke. Of course, it's been a few years since I was a smoker, so these days maybe 50 cents is more reasonable.

fuck it, when I used to smoke I always had some. and if I bummed, it was from people I knew. I hated bumming of strangers.

I like smoking but I don't miss it. every now and then I get the urge to light one up, but it passes, thankfully.

i smoke when i drink and have never been one to be the bum. i always roll out with enough smokes to get me through the night. i have no problem when someone bums one or two off me as long as they say "thank you," but if they start getting into the 3-4 count of smokes bummed, it becomes annoying. and it's not a money thing...it's the fact that the more i get bummed off of, the quicker i'm probably going to run out and have none for myself. i would never accept money for a smoke, i would tell someone "no you can't have one" before i would accept money. i have a friend that is just a notorious bum. he's the type that will take your pack and leave it next to him once he's finished grabbing a smoke for himself. that shit kills me and ruins it for bums around the world. i'll see him bum in excess of 10 smokes off different people throughout the night and when you see someone do that, it's like well why didn't you just go by yourself a pack for the night. smoker denial.
