Bulking, what do i do on my off days?

It's a matter of preference and how quickly you want to be putting on weight, if you're main goal is to gain the most muscle possible I wouldn't do any cardio while bulking. Just rest, eat, and stretch..... and eat more.

np, just remember in order to gain 1lb a week, you must eat 3,500 calories above your maintenance, split into days this is 500 cals above maintenance per day. If you're doing cardio and burning say 300 cals 3x a week, this is 900 cals.... 3,500-900 = 2,600 cals, so now you must make up for those 900 cals you burned to still gain 1lb a week. So you can see how it would be counterproductive for building muscle.

This may just be me, but I was able to put weight on running stairs and sprints 3x/ wk. Obviously, it wasn't from doing the track workouts, but it kept me leaner, helped shorten my recovery time between sets, and it didn't affect my ability to put the weight I wanted on.

Jnevin, that was all your diet though, a calorie burned is a calorie burned. And if you burn enough to put you down to maintenance, youre not going to gain. If youre eating 1k above maintenance, and you burn 500 doing cardio, obviously youre still going to gain. That's all I was pointing out, had you not done cardio you probably would have gained a little bit more muscle, but you also would have gained some fat, so its all a matter of preference. Great job though, it's tough to do!!

Kurz, you don't think dextrose pw is good for bulking?
My views on dextrose are that it works wonders for many and works for shit for others. Experiment. Right now I am doing white rice and a whey shake.

My point wasnt that.....it was on his off days, there is def. no need for it
