I started bulking around 2-3 months ago at a bodyweight of 143. My diet was SwoledUP and workout was one based around the exercises outlined by Iron Addict on the Fina board (HIT style). The end result, I've gained about 25 pounds in total. Not too much has been fat which I credit to Swole's diet and 20-rep squats...who needs cardio with those right?.
For those who dont know I went on a HORRIBLY hypocaloric diet about 2 years ago which (I knew nothing about bodybuilding or lifting or nutrition, excuse the stupidity) brought me to a weight of...120#s for a 16 y/o male
. After the leptin induced hunger binges brought me up to 175 pounds and almost 20% b/f I cut all the way down to about 8% but I still had no muscle so it didnt look good, just skinny.
I wish I had taken before pictures but I didnt. My lifts, while still poor in comparison to others are PR's for me and I've never been bigger in my life.
Currently Im weighing in at 177 pounds with a body-fat slightly over 13 by my estimation (at college without calipers).
I'll try to post pictures soon but my camera is at home and Im at college for a long time before I get any breaks.
Im looking to keep bulking until I hit 200 or bodyfat reaches 16%, whichever comes first.
Many thanks to Swole for his help and especially everyone on EF who has provided so much valuable knowledge since I joined.
