what do you guys think about bulking up as a natural and cutting with an anabolic, an androgen and some stimulants? would this be a waste of time and money or can it be done? i know you cant put on alot of mass doing it this way but what if you wanted a lean physique like stan mcquay or tito raymond?

i remember that one of the natural mr o's (i think his name is john hansen) said that in his prime, people would bulk up naturally and do a three month cutting cycle.

It would work however keep in ming it will take more time to ADD 20 lbs naturally as opposed to losing 20lbs naturally.

Otherwise, it would definitely work. However, I don't know to what extent you could say you are a "Natual" Bodybuilder.

i seriously doubt alot of those natural bbers are really natural. there is no way that someone as skinny as mike ohearn can be so strong or someone like skip lacour can get so big without drugs

It's harder for most people to put on muscle than it is to lose fat. I'd do the opposite. Build with gear, but cut naturally.

I agree, I think you can diet down much easier than you can actually gain quality muscle weight. I would bulk with AS and then cut naturally.

I did it last year. Worked well. I went from 244 down to 214 in a little over 5 weeks. Now that was hardcore. Hard as hell too. No cardio. Just 3 days a week training with weights, and hardcore dieting and I mean hardcore dieting. Also took fat burners at a good amount. I wrote all about it in my training journals here on elite actually.

This time around though I am cutting naturally then using the drugs to help me get as much quality muscle mass as possible in my already lean state.

You know, I'd almost agree with this. For the majority....and by majority I mean the VAST majaroty, gaining muscular bodyweight is a far more monumental task than loosing bodyfat...to an extent. The problem arises that should one bulk with AAS they aoould be hard pressed to maintain that muscle mass while naturally dieting...even though dieiting natty may be somewhat easier to do. I would suspect that this individual who used AAS to bulk, and acheived a great deal of self-satisfaction with thier efforts and rewards, and then dieted with the standard protocol of low/no carbs, cardio till you drop, ECA, and no juice to-boot would be left in a drak and daunting depressive hole once they become aware of how quickly those muscle tissue gains dissapear without supraphysiological anabolic hormone levels to suport such muscularity. This would likely lead to "metabolic melt-down" as well as motivational "melt-down". Loosing bodyfat can be done should one present discipline and execute a well formulated, edicated approach to the fat loss process, but acheiveing "cuttness" or sub 6% or even 7% body fat without the use of anabolics is a borderline insurmountable task to be attained unless one were blessed with a multitudinous arsenal of genetics on thier side. It would seem to me that bulking naturally and then using AAS to preserve what you've gained while cutting would be the best suited option for physical, physiological, and psychological satisfaction/results. Bear in mind though that the bulking naturally is going to be a long and arduoous process that will require and extrodinary amount of patience and an ability to push thorough those sticking points that will occur along the way. But if you're in this game to beging with you should be able to suck it up and apply the needed dedication to reach your goals, patiently as may need be.
