Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below Hey guys my tail bone has been getting hurt and swelling (first it was the right than the left side) and I can't pick out a certain time where I got it from. Is this a sign of some time of long term effect or something? I'm getting worried since both sides got hurt and I don't even know what from. Any advice it is real uncomfortable.

Well your tail bone , or Coccyx, is pointed, so it can't hurt left or right.
You can feel the tip. If it's above that it is most likely a muscular injury. Stretching will help, along with Advil. Go easy on any lifts that incorporate the very low back muscles. Or eliminate until you heal up.
If it hurts all the time, no matter what position you are in, it could be a ligament injury.
The L5 disc is just below the belt line, so you can probably rule out any disc injury. Try stretching by touching toes and hold for a minute. Also lay on your back and pull your knees up to your collar bone.
See if that helps. Those little muscle can take along time to heal.Take it easy.

Funny you mention that... i have a tail bone prob.. but it has been pinpointed to a high consintration of ethal Alchol in a batch of gear....i like sevral others were notified about the problem from the manufacturer....It is the last step in the painful process im going threw..i had muscle probs first, then when muscle pain went away it went into my bones near inj areas....Just thought i'd tell you incase you relate, or not !tommboy said:

guys there is no "side" of your tailbone that can get bruised, relax. I bruised my tailbone one and let me tell you, its not fun, if you bruised it you would have to have slammed it real hard and you would not be getting up from the hit on your own power or at least very easily. When i used to play hockey i nailed it one and had to be helped off the ice since i couldn't stand up worth a shit.
I actually hurt my tailbone a few times playing hockey it's funny that you say that. It never was one time it hurt so bad I couldnt walk but a few less serious times (that still hurt like a bitch). Have you ever gotten that area from doing something less serious but hitting it funny? I'm not even sure its my tailbone this time it feels like it is where my tailbone and butt meet up. And if its a bone its underneath muscle.

I got FREE replacement in the mail today bro..will let everyone know how the new batches are...they found the prob !!!!!!and fixed it saposedly !
