I've been into tanning regularly the last 5-6 of years with no problems. But for some reason this last year I'm starting to get brown spots on my face and freckles on my body which really bothers me because I've always had great skin(face). I'm just wondering why now is age or genetics a factor also does anybody know of any good brown spot removal products?

Can't tell you what this is. Go see a dermatologist.

That would be sun damage! You've been tanning for 5-6 years with no problems... it takes time for the problems to show, and these spots are probably your skin begging for mercy. If I were you I would see a deramtologist just to make sure, and you're probably gonna want to watch those new freckles.
Sometimes you can get those brown spots lasered off, but it's expensive and painful. Be careful with those tanning beds. They make you look good for a while but after a few years it ain't so pretty.

Exactly. I have been told they are sometimes called sun spots. I would stay out of the beds myself. I know it is a pain in the ass but you may try the sunless lotions. They have improved quite a bit in the last few yrs. Keep tanning in the beds and you will get more and more of them. Good luck. Oh, I have some myself, I am a florida native. :)

5 to 6 years of tanning? I think maybe you spend a good part of your life on the beach also, as I have done. Tanning looks nice, but wrecks your skin so think about it. Being a Red Head, tanning was NOT an option, but I would get burnt anyway, blisters and all.

Spots may not be a problem, just age and changes in the skin. If they begin to bump, THEN they are a problem. I would still ask your dr. or dermotologist about them and maybe ways to remove them, non surgically. Currently, the spots can stay. Anything with a bump or irregular pattern gets taken off with either liquid nitrogen or scalpul. Not fun either way, so take care of your skin.

Oh, spots and bumps are usually called pre-mellinomas. That should tell you something.
