Brown rice cakes?

Hola

Quick question - does anyone eat brown rice cakes as a carb source in a clean diet whilst on AAS? I struggle to eat real food in fork at my 1am feed - rice cakes would be ideal.

Ingredients wise (apart from moderate salt) they appear to have the same properties as cooked brown rice.

Can anyone shed some light?

sorry mods meant to post this in the diet form, no idea how to move it

Rice cakes are not a good food for anything except carb loading before a show. They are very high GI, which will shut down any fat burning.

even brown rice cakes bro?

The best carbs would be fruits.
Brown rice, with complex carbohydrates, is probably a good source of carbs.

When it comes to losing fat, the only thing that matters is calories. Rest of the theories about carbs are BS.
Trust me on this one: I know human physiology and biochemistry inside-out.

:confused::confused::confused: its all sugar

^^agree--in fact it is worse in terms of slin spike--

the best carbs are the ones that taste the worst--veggies/sprouted grains etc

Well then you should know that when you ingest carbs and insulin is released one cannot access bodyfat. It's worse when you spike your slin levels very high causing one's blood sugar to drop rapidly. That causes hypoglycemia, which normally causes a person to ruin their diet by eating more carbs trying to balance their blood sugar.

Bottom line: stick to low GI carbs like oatmeal and yams. It's proven in the real world.
