Bromo and Wellbutrin

I currently taking Zyban (wellbutrin) to quit smoking and I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to try Bromo.

beware of the dopamine rush hows the zyban? do you get any extra energy from it?

I think it would be worth asking a doctor about.
Wellbutrin is new enough there prolly have not been too many people on both of these drugs.
Since both are supposed to increase Dopamine effects in the brain this could lead to an overdose effect. Much of the time 1+1 is less than 2, but sometimes 1+1 is more than 3.
At the very least you should be very careful

georgie24 - I actually find that the Zyban is making me a bit more tired than usual. It has also dulled my hunger a lot which is good because I am dieting.


tombphilips - unfortunately I don't have that kind of relationship with my doc. I've tried to call a few other docs but unless you are one of thier patients they won’t call you.

Sounds like the zyban is effecting you much like the bromo would. With the decrease in appetite and being a little more tired then usual. I would not mix the two, without first consulting a doctor. What do u want to take the bromo for anyways?

Ttokkyo Jack - I have read that bromo also helps spare muscle by fooling your body into not thinking your starving.

That is the same reason that I use it. Although I do feel that bromo has a muscle sparing effect, and increases fat loss while dieting, I still wouldn't reccomend using it with zyban. The reason for this is because both increase dopamine levels, probably through different mechanisms. I would stick to one or the other for increasing dopamine levels, as to avoid complications. How long do you have to take Zyban for anyways?
