I can not see how fakes can be used as a debate topic on how one product offering is better than another. Put it another context because cartier watches are often faked then does it mean i should only buy Rolex? Surely it means you just purchase from a reputable distributor?

I agree. Moreover if there are no GTP fakes out there it only means this gear is not popular and there is no reason to counterfeit that brand.
