Senior fullback Jarrod Baxter broke former Lobo and current Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher's school record in the power clean with a lift of 391 pounds. Baxter missed on four attempts at 401 pounds, but was the first Lobo to ever attempt a power clean over 400 pounds.

He should make the Pro Bowl again this year.

Brian Urlacher and Keith Brooking are both middle linebackers. Im not sure if they take more than one middle on a squad, but you cant go wrong with either way.

They have one starter and 2-3 reserve positions

Inside linebackers:
Starter
Stephen Boyd, DET (injured)

Reserve
Jeremiah Trotter, PHI
Brian Urlacher, CHI (injury replacement)
Mark Fields, NOR (need player)

The AFC only had 2 reserves

Inside linebackers:
Starter
Ray Lewis, BAL

Reserve
Sam Cowart, BUF
Zach Thomas, MIA (need player)

Well, I am biased, but Urlacher is my boy! I wear my number 54 jersey every week when watching the game... and that is real commitment, since I live in Arizona, and have to watch in a sports bar... and there are a ton of damn Vikings fans.. there is a Mayo clinic up here and all the damn Minnesotans are falling out of the woodwork!

I am just glad to see them have success this year.. it was frusterating last year to see how awesome Urlacher played, but it didnt translate into winning... just goes to show you that most teams in the NFL are not that far apart, and a few key players added to the roster can make a bad or mediocre team successful.

It really goes to the old philosophy, you have to be able to stop the run on defense, and have a solid running game on offense... thats why I knew the Vikings would never go any where the last few years.. their defense is a joke!

Thats the reason both the Bears and Steelers are 9-2, their defense keeps them in the games, and they either get some breaks or make them, and pull out the squeakers.. food for thought, the Bears are 7-0 in games decided by 7 or less... the Lions are 0-7 in the same scenario... are the Bears that much better than the Lions? No, but thet have added a few difference makers over the last few years (good young linebackers and safeties).

Urlacher is funny... I was watching one of those battle of the sports stars thing... Urlacher won the weight lifting event, which was basically a power clean if I remember... but in the bike race, his bike threw a chain in the first 100 yards, he jumped off, picked up the bike and threw it across the road.. laughed my ass off!!!

He looks like he's doing a Clean and Jerk in that picture, not a Power Clean.

Urlacher is an awesome athlete. He was the 6th fastest safety at his combine and he's a f'n linebacker! No one's as fast as him at middle linebacker. He's only going to get better. He'll probably rank right up there with Butkus and Singletary when all is said and done.

Huge game for the Bears this week. Time for some payback.

Dude, Urlacher was the punt returner in college, as a middle linebacker! How phat is that? He has to be THE man at inside backer in the league, along with Brookings, Takeo Spikes and Marvcus Patton (yes, I am a biased Chiefs fan)
