Anyone every use it? I raised German Shephards for years and this was a main ingredient added in their diet at an early age recommended by the kennel that we purchased them from. I've run across it a few times reading articles.. about its benifits also for training and it being a good source for protein.

Now the smell of this stuff is GAWD AWFUL :worried: lol.. so I can only imagine the taste of it.

Here's a little more info on it.

If given a choice, I would probably go for the steak.... ;)

In some health stores you can find what they call "good tasting Brewers Yeast"

Never tried though....

But on the paper it's interesting healthy properties (one of those being sleep aid)
also supposed to be a cheap substitute to R-ALA

i'm thinking it would be a good "in a hurry" sub for protein.. added to a shake etc.

And yes it has lots of other healthy protpeties going for it. ;)

I wouldn't take it as a protein substitute

First because you'd need to take huge amount of it to have a decent prot intake and the amino acid profile of BY is not that good

But as a complement, on yogurt, cottage cheese, salad, veggies it's good for B vitamins, minerals, insulin control etc

ahhhh.. gotcha

;)

WAIT... did you say complement... blech.. hee hee.. have you ever smelled that stuff :worried:

There is a process that "washes" the BY hence making the bitter taste dissapear
[and BTW if it smells like sh*t it means that it is effective isn't it ? ;) ]

and you can mix it with wheat germ (good source of vitamin E and minerals)
