Breast Implants - How Long Until ...

I WAS WONDERING, HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE UNTIL YOU CAN DO YOUR REGULAR WEIGHT LIFTING ROUTINE AGAIN? DOES IT HURT AT FIRST?

YES, it hurts. But you can recover fairly quickly. I was doing cardio again after a week, and training after about 2 weeks. I had "above the muscle" implants, and my incision was through the navel, which provided lots 'o pain as it totally tore up my abs and ribs; what took the longest, training-wise was being able to hang all my weight from the pull-up bar for pull ups. I was actually able to bench press long before I could do pull ups.

It definintely depends on which type is involved "overs" or "unders" because of the muscle involved. I recommend checking out www.inplantinfo.com for such questions or get involved w/ the chat. And then ask your doctor. For "unders" it may take a month before you can lift your arms up above the shoulder and it may take a while to be comfortable with the tightness of the muscle. Exercise in general (e.g. cardio) can probably start within a week or two worst case, again with consideration to the range of motion and the schedule recommended by the doctor.

Do a search I swear we have talked about implants 900 times on this board...covered about everything!! Search and you will find tons of good info:)
