Breaking stupid Zambon Amps

Man--Everytime I break those stupid amps the tops shatter and i get glass in my thumb. Its starting to piss me off because i do it eod. you guys have any advice to break these things smoothly.

Try a pen top. Like the ones off of Bics. Used them and worked. Or wrap the top with a tissue

break the amy head with a towel after scoring it with a razor, it should be a clean break. Or you can get the amp openers at www.getpinz.com

I find the Zambons fairly easy to open, but you can try getting an amp opener from www.getpinz.com

You can try this. Score it with a hacksaw blade. Put the pen cap on top of the amp and use the rest of the pen for leverage where you scored it. Wrap it up in a towel and press on the pen cap on top of the amp and with your thumb on the bottom of the amp while the amp is pressing against the pen and it should snap rather easily or so I was told. If I didn't explain clear enough let me know.

I just orderd the amp opener .How good do they work and do they last a long time any one ?

I just use the file, score and break with a towel method... very simple, always a clean break.

they don't usually last very long. but they're only something like $6 each. so it's not going to break you stocking up. hee hee

as for the idea about the hacksaw, that would prbly work. i've haveing trouble with some thick ass amps and i score and score those mothers and they still shatter when i pop them off. and i have a ton of hacksaw blades laying around in my basement.

They work really good.Just make sure you spin the amp enough to get a good score all the way around. Take your time. I've done about 20 amps so far and she's still cutting. I don't know if this thing will cut forver, I mean it may get dull eventually. But even if it saves one amp it's worth it.
