break outs

willyb021

New member
im in my second week of my first cycle running 500 mg of test e a week.
my buddy has ran a few cycles and he has scarring on his back from breaking out during cycles.

i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to prevent this from happening with me.

we were thinking about dropping my dosage down to 3/4 of a cc from 1 full cc two times weekly to try to prevent it.

you should be fine with a full cc. i get them but its not bad enough to scar. guess it really depends on the person. take 2-3 showers a day keeps me smooth. good luck with your 1st go!

Best thing we have used in my camp. works wonders and cheap.

.

10% Benzoyl Peroxide is the shit. Start using it early and use it every day.
~
been useing it for years....night and day compared to other products

run an anti-e

aromasin 10mg EOD

none of that shit works

you have to tackle it from the inside out

like i said an anti-e is very effective

vit b5 as well

then accutane as a last resort

10% Benz Prox. ROCKS! I use product called PanOxyl. You get it at any drug store. Any 10%B.O. will work. You DON'T want to take
Accutane unless all else fails. Step 2 would be Retin-A. And, of course, AI's like aromasin and adex.

I agree with from the inside out. Acne is not always an external problem. Especially AAS induced acne. Showering twice a day, benzoyl peroxide...they just tease the stuff for me. I use tetracycline. Keeps me clear on cycle, and during PCT. 1 gram daily....and surprise, surprise our board sponsor 4rx has amazing prices on it! 360, 500mg pills (about a 6 month supply) for $85 shipped! Can't beat that with accutaine or any other mentioned treatment. Not to mention, tetra is only an antibiotic. It's not going to tear up your liver, dry out your joints, lips, etc. You also don't have to suffer through an additional 2 weeks or so of HORRIBLE acne while you're going through the other sides of accutaine, waiting for your skin to clear. I do suggest "cycling" it though. When my PCT is over, I go off the stuff until I start my next cycle.

I run accutane, 1 month before my cycle i started at 20mg a day low dose to see how it affected me, literally nothing but dry eyes that are really sensitive to air conditioning, and mild headaches for the first two weeks after taking the pill. 4 weeks in i started ny cycle and i bumped it up to 40mg every day and thats when i started to get dry lips and skin, but not bad by any means .
On week two of cycle and week 6 of accutane i bumped again to 60mg and have not got a zit so far, if i do its only small and tends to dry up and flake off by the next day.
so far i would def say accutane is great, only sides are dry eyes and lips which are controlled with eye drops and lip balm. no joint pain , no depression.

Hope this is useful to some one

You have been lucky.
Here's an article you should review before you run out and buy accutane. ESPECIALLY in congunction with AAS;

Possible Psychiatric Link
Many patients say they feel better about themselves after receiving successful treatment for acne. Evelyn Germanakos, of Los Angeles, Calif., struggled with acne as an adult, and says she felt like her old self after Accutane cleared up lumpy blemishes in 1997. "I had gotten to the point where I didn't even want to go outside or be with people, let alone look in the mirror," she says. But while Accutane may help lift psychosocial distress such as embarrassment, evidence suggests that it may actually cause serious psychiatric disorders in some people.

Though the drug's label previously listed depression as a possible reaction, FDA strengthened the label warning in 1998 after reviewing cases with serious outcomes reported in the years after the drug was approved. The new labeling states that Accutane may cause depression and psychosis, and that in rare cases it may cause suicidal ideation (thoughts of suicide), suicide attempts, and suicide.

The label also advises providers that simply discontinuing the drug may not remedy any psychiatric problems and that further evaluation may be necessary. "In some cases, stopping Accutane alone may not be enough to relieve the mood changes," says Jonathan Wilkin, MD, director of CDER's division of dermatologic and dental drug products. "Psychiatric treatment may also be needed."

The relationship between Accutane and depression remains unproven, but some patients have reported that their depression subsided when they stopped the medication and came back when they resumed taking it. And some who have reported problems with depression while taking Accutane had no previous psychiatric history. FDA considers the number of reports of serious depression associated with Accutane high compared to other drugs in its database.

From 1982 to May 2000, FDA received reports of 37 U.S. Accutane patients who committed suicide, 24 while on the drug and 13 after stopping the drug. In addition to suicides, FDA received reports of 110 U.S. Accutane users hospitalized for depression, suicidal ideation, and suicide attempt during the same time period. As of May 2000, FDA had received reports of 284 Accutane users with non-hospitalized depression.

Several factors make it hard to definitively link depression with Accutane. Depression is a common problem, and some patients may be suffering from it before starting Accutane therapy. Additionally, some patients who reported depression with Accutane had previous courses of the drug without depression. Even so, it is recommended that doctors act as if Accutane could have psychiatric effects until there is more information, says FDA's Wilkin.

I was already aware of all this, but its good info for anyone researching accutane for use.
the thing is out of all the millions and millions of users since its introduction the numbers you stated above are a very small percentage and it is totally undetermined whether accutane caused their depression or not.
its like if a smoker commits suicide blaming cigarettes, i think people who use accutane in the first place are more then likely depressed to some degree because of how bad their skin is,
i know a few people who have also done a course of tane and honestly all it did for them was make them Happy because how good they looked.
i feel the sides are exaggerated by non-users very often.
