Brave New World (movie version)

I was flipping through the channels and saw this on so I was curious if it was based on the book. Maybe it's been so long that I don't remember much of the book but I swear they butchered the book in the movie. Can anyone that has seen the movie and remembers the book better tell if I'm correct or not.

Seeing the movie though made me wanna read the book again. A life of bondage yet everlasting and pure carnal pleasure is pretty nice but I'm not sure if that's worth missing out on everything that the "civilized" people were kept away from

I vaguely remember reading the book in HS. For some reason, I didn't finish it. It might be a good time to pick it back up again. I'll also have to check out Huxley's other books.

Yea it seemed to jump around in parts of the movie whereas the book was in more of a chronological order of events. Also, I could have sworn that a teenager who was born naturally was the main character in the book. Maybe I'm just a little too fried

The kid who was born naturally comes in about halfway through.

If its the movie based on the Brave New World that I saw like in the nineties, it was horribly done, so much so that I couldnt stand to even watch it. It was bad

good book. i like anything Orwellian. Farenheit 451 was good, too.
