Boycott stops abortion clinic project

Good. I'd be damned if I was going to be part of making a baby slaughter factory.

I hear that. I just thought this story was great because they're boycotting death. I'm taking the guy's campaign further and boycotting unprotected sex.

Would you build the jail cell that the child will inevitably end up in as a result of a broken home due to unforseen and unprepared child birth?

Well, you've got the figure out the motivation for not wanting to work on the project. Back when I was in school, a friend of mine was thinking about being an abortion doctor at one time. This word got out while she was at school. There were a few times where some strangers from the local church showed up on her dorm and tried to talk her out of it. They knew where she worked, where she lived, where her boyfriend lived. It was fucking scary. Like there's a secret police or something.

Due to those visits, she decided against medicine altogether. She said no to the abortion doctor job because she was concerned how life would be like if she took the job. She said no to medicine because she lost her faith in people and her willingness to help due to those strangers' visits.

These contractors could be the same and not want the visits from dozens and dozens of preachy strangers.

The funny part is that these people didn't appreciate it when her friends went to their church, pointed them out to each other, followed their children to school and to little league, and knocked on their door one late night to preach the word of God.

Funny.

Wow, I guess they think it's better if no one has rights.

I think they would do ANYTHING to save a life. So if you don`t have rights... So be it.

THAT`S WHAT THEY`RE THINKING. Not neccesarily my views.

:o Care to explain to us how many criminals come from families with other siblings? I can guarantee that these moms are not ardent Pro-Lifers. Your use of the word "inevitably" incorrectly attempts to link the birth of an unwanted child with future criminal tendencies.

Its called a spurious correlation.

I agree that may have been a little far fetched.

It just shows the ignorance of the boycott organizer Chris Danze.

Planned Parenthood is not an "abortion clinic" it's a Family Planning center that also offers information about having sex, contraception and information about STD's and Aids awareness.

If the Texans don't get their abortions there - they'll just go elsewhere. And Planned Parenthood will just find different contractors and subs.

Planned Parenthood is NOT an abortion clinic, they are merely a pro-abortion organization, under the guise of an objective family/parenthood institute. Planned Parenthood does not look at any other avenue save abortion for those who are unsure about their situation. STD's and AIDS are merely window dressing.

There was nothing ignorant about the organizers boycott, he acheived a small goal for his cause

I must correct myself. Planned Parenthood DOES perform abortions:

The Planned Parenthood Federation of America is one of over 90 national affiliates of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (London). It gets about two-thirds of its U.S. financing through tax money, local, state, and national. It has five regional offices, about 160 statewide affiliates, over 900 local clinics in the U.S. Over 70 of its clinics do abortions. Its total annual cash flow is almost one-half billion dollars ($472 million in 1995). It concentrates its efforts on abortion, contraception, and sex education.

Here are some of the wonderful ideas that its founder, Margaret Sanger proposed:

- "To keep the doors of immigration closed to the entrance of certain aliens whose condition is known to be detrimental to the stamina of the race, such as the feebleminded as determined by Stanford-Binet I.Q. tests.

- "To apply a stern and rigid policy of sterilization and segregation to that grade of population whose progeny is already tainted, or whose inheritance is such that objectionable traits may be transmitted to offspring.

- "To insure the country against future burdens of maintenance for numerous offspring as may be born of feeble-minded parents by pensioning all persons with transmissible diseases who voluntarily consent to sterilization.

- "To give dysgenic groups in our population their choice of segregation or sterilization.

- "To apportion farm lands and homesteads for these segregated persons where they would be taught to work under competent instructors for a period of their entire lives. [Practically speaking, a concentration camp.]

- "[To] take an inventory of the secondary group such as illiterates, paupers, unemployables, criminals, prostitutes, dope fiends; classify them in special departments under government medical protection, and segregate them on farms and open spaces as long as necessary for the strengthening and development of moral conduct."

M. Sanger, "Plan for Peace," Birth Control Review, vol. 16, no. 4, April 1932

"The most merciful thing a large family can do for one of its infant members is to kill it."

Sanger, Woman and the New Race

You need to more research.

He acheived nothing but 15 minute of fame.

You need to do further reesearch and I'll give you a hint - Margaret Sanger

You can believe what ever you wish to believe in your cause. I know I know more about Planned Parenthood and The Margaret Sanger Center then you will ever know.

Planned Parenthood was started to provide birth control and Family Planning for those who chose to start a family.

I dare you to challenge me on this - trust me - I know more than you in regard to this particular topic and if it wasn't a complete infringment on my privacy I could explain how and why.

Try to get your facts correct and don't pass judgement based of your emotional stand point.

Hospitals and private practice also provide abotions - do you want to stop them as well?

I presented to you some of Margaret Sanger's ideas. She was a eugenicist, pure and simple. This was a commonly held view at the time, that government should intervene for the creation of a "better" society, one that sterilizes and punishes the "undesirables". Rebut them.

Hospitals and private practice also provide abotions - do you want to stop them as well?

There are valid reasons for abortion and there are reasons that are not valid for abortion. Because I accept the small cases as valid, does not mean that I drop all standards and accept the practice in every variable.

My "emotional standpoint"!?!? You mean all those "logic psycho-babbles"?

He acheived nothing but delaying a constuction project and cost a lot people their time and money.

It is unfortunate that you were the one to take the logic-psyco-babble personally. If you read the post between MTSW and myself it would be clear that it the comment was directed at him and not to you.

i would never abort my own child but

when are humans of this time going to consider population control.

with out it starvation,poverty etc..

This neo-Malthusian doomsday rant is empirically untrue. Malthus argued it in the 1800's, it was wrong. Erlich and other eco-socialists ranted about it in the 70's, and they were wrong. There is no evidence pointing to a depletion of resources causing mass starvations and poverty. The exact opposite is what is being demonstrated.

lmao.

ignorance is bliss my good broly

i guess if we tell ourselves it will all be ok....

:insane:

I must remind the masses that this boycott infringes on nobody's rights. The builders are under no obligation to support Planned Parenthood.

The builders were only working, they were never 'supporting' anything. How is it not infringement on their rights? It's a legal health center that is being harrassed. It would be different if it was a muslim center that was being fucked with, then of course it would be wrong.

Um, the builders are under no obligation to build a building for uses that they do not agree with. If I am hired to do construction on a building, and then I find out what it is to be used for, I don't have to build it. It is my right to free speech and beliefs.
