i am with you bro...
I just sent them an e-mail that they now have one customer less....
I went mad when I needed 20 hours to log on to my account and I realised that all my old e-mail was gone...
you know what this means for me bro...
and now I can't log on again!!!!!!
hotmail just upgarded their servers and noone had any problems
anyway my new account is : [email protected]

and elitefitness is still hosted on the hushmail servers and it is licensed out by elite.
I agree all this stuff is very annoying, but then again, I don't envy them having to deal with the huge migration and the whole pile of suck that java is.

also you can buy extra space and then you are a customer, but if you haven't done that nor licensed their software and/or servers, then I maintain that you can't complain about a totally free service... or you can complain about it all you want, but look silly.
Yes, but Hush's users are promoting the service by using it. Nobody, including George, would use their product if it didnt have a proven concept behind it. George probably went with it because so many EF users are using the service already. So yes, the customers are important, if they werent, then why the hell would Hushmail even bother to support free users? Out of kindness? No.

Anyone know what this means? I just set up my elitefitness acct and when I try to log on it takes me to another screen that says enable java script. So I do that and takes me back to a hushmail log in page so I try logging in there and it says the page you are viewing is being opened in an unsafe manner or something to that effect. Can someone help me??

I'll chime in. I jumped through all their hoops. What did it get me? PISSED OFF!!! I'm a lot pissed cuz, like most of you, I have some important shit there and I don't feel like waiting 3 weeks to have access. Ziplip or elitefitness here I come.

if you go to the site they will tell you that they have all the shit backed up and they will migrate it all over, but it will take some time b/c there is a lot of it.

Happy, do you work for hushmail or something? No, I guess you don't. If you did, you would know that they DO in fact advertise with their service. I've seen numerous ads while waiting an eternity for their shitty password applet to load.
I don't give a rat's ass if they don't charge a fucking dime for their crappy service. The point is this: a lot of people have emails stored in their database that they cannot access, a database that is supposably "secure." Does this sound like security to you? Being unable to access your own information? I don't think so.
Its my understanding that Elitefitness uses hushmail's software version 1.6, NOT their servers. If I am incorrect perhaps George or Chris can correct me. Whatever you do guys, do not upgrade!
And, Norma, the new look is even crappier than the old and just as slow. I agree whole-heartedly.

It comes down to this. All hushmail users were warned and advised to move their e-mail. If you weren't quick enough on the uptake to follow their advice, I guess you're not the brightest crayon in the box.

I'm certainly a hushmail advocate. We all know it's obvious faults. But there are others that should be of more concern, going from blowfish (a crappy algorithm) to OpenPGP (an even crappier algorithm). Encryption only to other hushmail users is horrible, but not because of the reason you'd think. The reason it's a bad idea is this:
All data is stored on one farm of servers. Subject to subpeona (yes, even off-shore servers) and compliancy with federal law forces the company to also provide the master key pair....the master private key is used to generate All users keys.
But since OpenPGP is so crappy, it's doubtful the feds would need the key pair in the first place.
