Anyone watching it on Saturday night? Predicitions? Kessler is unbeaten and holds two belts but i'm guessing Calzaghe will win as usual and retire unbeaten.

Yep. Fighting in front of 60,000 fans in my home city of Cardiff. Should be a good fight by all accounts. Many people are calling it the biggest fight in the world although maybe Hatton v Mayweather will overshadow it. Either way Calzaghe will retire a legend if he wins and retires.

I've never seen Kessler fight but when you look at WHO both of those guys have fought I would have to say based on their records, and quality of opponents, Calzaghe should win. RJJ and quite a few American boxers have totally avoided Calzaghe.

I think Hatton/Mayweather will be an excellent fight. Mayweather is an assh*le but the man can move and box. Hatton is very aggressive though and I think he can move forward and clutch and jab faster than Mayweather can move back and maneuver. It will be a good fight and it will either be a KO by Hatton or a decision by Mayweather.

I can't wait for Pavlik Taylor II. That fight was just down right amazing. Pavlik, despite his appearance, can throw a goddamn punch!!

This i think is true but many Americans try to see it the other way around.

I've been watching tape. Calzaghe is a bad mother.. I wanna see this fight.

I have seen Calzaghe a few times - and for some reason there is something I don't like about him. He seems off balance and too ticky tacky at times. I have never seen Kessler fight so I can't make a prediction for this fight - but I will be watching. I just hope these two beat the crap out of each other (i.e. Ward vs. Gatti)

Maybe because he's a southpaw? He domimanted every round over Jeff Lacy who was an olympic champion.. The dude is for real... So is Hatton, who I watched beat the great Kosta Tszu. Can't wait for that fight either.

They may have - but lets not just assume it's because they were afraid of him in the ring. If they did avoid him - it could have everything to do with money.

I'm a southpaw - so I don't think that's why. I don't know - I'll watch this fight and see if I can't find some redeaming qualities. :)

I really think that Mayweather kicks the shit out of Hatton. In my opinion - Hatton is never in this fight. Lets not forget Tszu was coming off a shoulder injury and a long lay off.

Either way we've got 2 great fights coming up between 4 long time undefeated champions. You can't ask for better than that.

Just went to the weightin this afternoon. Great atmosphere and Kessler struggled to make the weight...had to strip naked to make it. Bit of pushing and shoving between ther boxers but it was all hype. Michael "Let's get ready to rumble" Buffer was awesome telling all the women to look away when Kessler stripped off.

Will try and post video off phone if i can get it off there.

This is an awesome fight and the type that boxing needs. I've seen Calzaghe fight several times and he is legit. He has great speed, power, and throws punches from all angles. However, he gets a bit cocky on defense and can be hit. If Calzaghe doesn't break his hand, he'll win this one quite easily. I'm predicting a 116-112 unanimous decision for Calzaghe.

I'm a bit more interested in the Cotto vs. Mosely fight... I have know idea who'll win that one.

Agreed on the Cotto fight - I pick Mosely in a late round knockout

Have you seen Kessler fight? I'm not so confident that Calzaghe will win comfortably (Kessler seems very up for it and also has an excellent record) but then it's hard to doubt Calzaghe.

Kessler is a huge supermiddleweight. Wow... his arms are massive and I wonder what weight he will be tomorrow night. His photos from the weigh in are impressive. I've seen highlights on you tube of his fighting but haven't seen a full fight. He's fought nobody's and his biggest win is against Mundine (not that great). I'm making my prediction that speed and power (Calzaghe) will beat power (Kessler).

Yep he has got big arms for a super middleweight...Calzaghe on the other hand doesn't do any weights at all.

I've never given much credit to Cotto but he has done much better since moving up in weight.

Mosley is a bit crusty. I expect a KO by Cotto.

Calzaghe will beat the crap out of Kessler who has a padded record.

Hatton will win by KO or PBF will win on the cards by corrupt judges.

I'm a HUGE boxing fan (waiting for 11pm to watch the showtime fight on HD) so I'll be watching with great interest. Calzaghe is an all time great pound for pound fighter IMO, he always shows up with at least a B performance and in his biggest fights he's brought his A game, I expect he'll bring his A game and make Kessler look silly. Jeff Lacy was for more heralded before their fight than Kessler, people forget Lacy was considered unstoppable--- "a supper middleweight mike tyson" and Calzaghe made him look like a 12 year old girl.

Calzaghe TKO11

Just watched the prefight interview of Kessler and he's very confident. Not just the usual rubbish but he appears genuinely convined he'll win this...and he looks in excellent shape so it could be close.

What a fight, great win by Calzaghe who now has to be one opf the all time great fighters...over a decade undefeated. Kessler was TOUGH though.

Great fight! Calzaghe is legit. I thought he showed tremendous heart by withstanding some great shots from Kessler. I was questioning Calzaghe's punching power because he looked like he was slapping and not firing with authority. However, he had Kessler badly hurt by a body punch and the ref broke up the action to warn him for no reason (around round 7)... WTF!?! this fight could have ended in knockout much sooner. I still cannot believe that Kessler can be both taller and thicker than Calzaghe. Kessler was one dimensional and showed very little head movement (typical european style) and Calzaghe shredded him with the jab.

Best supper middleweight there's been having been champion for so long? Calzaghe now to move up to light heavyweight and he wants Bernard Hopkins...

I was going to watch the fight and look for something I liked in Calzaghe. Seeing as I hadn't seen him fight much and when I did - there was something I didn't like. Well, I watched the fight - this man has a chin made of granite. He took two upper cuts straight to the jaw and he didn't budge - very impressive. He is faster than I thought too. I still think he's off balance too much and too ticky tack at times, but he's a tough tough boxer to beat.

Kessler's not done. That kid is good. Get some upper body movement going and he'll be great. He punches like a freight train.

Yep he took some huge shots and i think Calzaghe himself that said after the fight that Kessler will only improve and go on to great things. Calzaghe wasn't completely at his best in this fight though but he still won comfortably in the end despite such a good show from Kessler. He's calling out all the best American boxers at light heavyweight now so it will be interesting to see how those fight goes. He wants to retire in 12 months and is looking at 2 major fights in that time to get the recognition he deserves.

He needs to line up Hopkins, maybe Winky, and maybe Pavlik. He can beat all three easily. Only Pavlik would have a punchers chance but Pavlik is slow compared to Calzaghe, very slow.

RJJ is a chump who avoided Calzaghe for years and doesn't even deserve the paycheck to step in the ring and lick Calzaghe's boots so he is not on my list of fighters who should step up.

I also give a ton of respect to Hopkins. He up there in age and has always been willing to step in the ring with anyone and that is the trait of a true champion.
