Get this -- a friend from work spent all night in front of Future Shop (similar to Circut City for you Yanks), from about 4pm until they opened today at 7am. It's not warm here either. With the windchill it can get down to -60 or so.
He got a 48-inch Sony for $200. I shit you not, I've seen the sales reciept. I'd say that would be worth waiting in line for.
I'm happy with the $500 worth of clothes I paid $200 for. Fuck, I hate malls though.
yep, i got good deals on clothing at stores in downtown toronto, but the malls in the burbs are just fuckin nuts. people leave their courtesy and common respect at home, and act like assholes.
Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. It is a day when stores put a lot of their merchandise on sale, often huge discounts (50% and above are common). It's basically a way to make people spend more money even though they already spent tons for Christmas. Here in Toronto (not sure about elsewhere) the sales last for around a week until the beginning of the new year (not just the 26th).
