a simple google check on the book would do the trick folks. It's by Fareed Zakaria, an Indian. It's about the global economy, basically the rise of countries like China, India, South Korea etc. It's about what they're doing right and we're doing wrong, which will lead to a global economy that america is obviously still part of but will not lead. It's nothing to do with socialism unless you're making the leap that describing China's rise, who are Statist capitalists, and that's ur link to communism in the book well then it's communist. But then what of when it talks about Brazil and S. Korea?

I found the review of the book interesting and in line with what I believe the state of our country to be in..

so you do think the book sounds interesting and not another commie manifesto? so why make a post insinuating yet another commie link because Obama's got a copy? From what I understand it's considered a very good book where Fareed lays out why the U.S has fallen behind and what we need to do to compete with the new economic powers or be left behind.

I think the book is a bit more complicated than that. And let's be real, these are insanely complicated times. IMHO, somebody who consideres themselves either a staunch republican or democrat is going to MISERABLY fail at running a country like ours. It takes someone who can say i will do what makes sense at the time whether it's smacks of socialism or capitalism, WHATEVER it takes. There are places where the free market is utterly failing and there's places where it's stupidly over regulated as well as stupidly UNDER regulated. You can't, for example, say that in this day and age of ridiculous acceleration of financial instrumentation say let those guys do what they will. Cause "those guys" will do us right in the ass as they walk off with untold sums. regu
