hi all,
I am a lawyer who just got fascinated by reading many general health books like burn the fat, feed the muscle, weightlifting enclyopedia,
science of sports training, jumping into plyometrics but never understood them properly why they work or could make a proper program design :worried: . I have never read any book on bodily functions etc. & would like to learn about it in my casual time and need a starting point.
In fact, one of my long term goal would be also to be able to design beginning programs depending on person needs.

I narrowed down few books which I think might be a good starting point for me.
Physiology of Sport and Exercise
Exercise Physiology: Energy, Nutrition, and Human Performance
Nsca's Essentials of Personal Training
Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning

But I can't purchase all of them at the moment. Kindly suggest 1 or 2 books from either those above or from your side which will help me as a starting point. I would be glad if you could help me out .
:)
