Ok, I have been off 1AD for about 3 weeks now. Really only took it for a week. Have seen better gains off it in all seriousness, and have no clue why. Any suggestions? Also, I have been taking Ensure Plus and Muscle Milk with a little v-12 because of the creatine and glutamine. Since you are very knowlegable about vitamins/fish oil/anything really, is this sufficient. I am trying to take in 5000 cals a day, but it's hard, so the ensure and muscle milk really help me to achieve it. I was wondering if it really is important to take zinc and add fish oil. I really want to get to 180 then cut to 175, I have 10 more lbs to go to get to 180.

It's funny, people tell me I am getting bigger, but they say because of my build that it doesn't look like I'm bulking, but getting more cut. But, I know I'm gaining weight..I just don't get it.

Anyways, off my rant. Any suggestions/knowledge would be appreciated.

YOU ONLY STAYED ON THE 1-AD FOR A WEEK!?!?

Bro, you shoulda saved some time and took the $40 you bought it with, and wiped your ass with it. Why would you waste it??

First off, you SHOULD HAVE used the whole cycle...You have to understand that shit isnt a miricle drug. JUST LIKE ANYTHING ELSE...you have to give it some time to kick in. I bet the last 3 weeks youve been getting "BETTER GAINS" is prolly from that! Ive done a 3 bottle cycle of 1-ad before, and the first 2 bottles i didnt gain a fucking thing...but that last little bit, my weight went crazy...Im always a late bloomer with it. Ive never had a cycle of 1-ad where i havent gained AND KEPT at least 10 lbs. Its even the same with Anabolics...you dont take 100mg of dbol one night and wake up the next morning 3 times your original size...you have to give stuff time...If i were you, id crack that bottle back open and give it a fair shot. Thats my advice on the 1-ad...as for the oils and vits...thats outta my league...i dont mess with that shit.

In a nutshell i guess what im trying to say is, you didnt give it a chance...get back on it and then when ya finish a 1 or 2 bottle cycle...then tell us wether it works or not.

I should explain. I finished 1.5 bottles. I still have 1/2 a bottle left. I took 6 pills a day, saw great results, but now I am doing things naturally because it isn't the 1AD that's giving me the great gains now. It's me eating correctly and taking 5k cals a day. Also, I started seeing signs of bad acne with the 1AD, I already had an episode with bad acne in high school and just got over it in May using Accutane. Don't want to go through that shit again because I have high self esteem right now. I mean, I just saw someone from my graduation class and she said she didn't even recognize me.
1AD does work, even though people don't think so, but that's not the point of this post. :)

Asking bodybyfinaplix a supplement question is like asking john gottii about a legitimate business enterprise.

HAHAHAHHA

Thats is the TRUEST and funniest thing ive heard in a while...LOL

good one jav...

I respect his opinion, as I do everyone's. He has the physique I want, therefore he must be doing something right.

Clear skin is much more important in terms of getting chicks than being swole...good call. I don't advocate the usage of any prohormones, especially when you're making gains like that without them. The only legitimate time to use them would be when you hit a plateau anyways... so save your money for now D:

how old are you?
just courious because if you haven't been training long and are pretty young you probably shouldn't be trying to mess with your hormones

definatly take a multi-vitamine
i have found that flax and fish oil work about the same, but for if i have joint pains the fish oil seems to work better

180 and 5000 cals a day? that's alot of food IMO, but if its working stick with it

also, were you taking v12 with the 1ad?

Here are my stats:

20(almost 21), 170 lbs, 5'10ish. Been lifting for about 5 years(since freshmen in high school for football, not really trying to get a good physique, but better endurance for football) but just now have been bodybuilding for 9 months. Have made some AMAZING size because everyone I haven't seen in a year or so due to college is like OMG what have you been on?

No I started v-12 after 2 weeks off. I like it, I can feel the extra pump is gives me. 5000 cals isn't just on food. It's Muscle milk(680 cals per serving), Ensure Plus(400 cals per serving), and food. So in reality I'm only "eating" 2500-3000 cals per day and drinking the rest. To gain size you eat, if I'm not mistaken, and I don't run, so in theory I should be getting fat! but not happening.

haha no shit bro, does he even post on this board?

He was on this board last week bashing most supplements and the OTC steroids in particular. His subject line was "This board sucks", which indicates the general level of discussion on the thread.

Don't bash him for using roids. He's doing no more harm than u guys on PH's are. I have to say, if you're 170 at 5'10 and you've been lifting for 5 years. You should check out your diet, instead of looking to supplements as miracle workers, straighten out your diet and make sure you're getting your macro's dialed in. This will work better than any combination of supps.

lol people don't read or I'm not explaining very well. I'll take it that I'm not explaining it very well. I have been off 1-AD for a month now. 2 weeks after I stopped I began to take in 5000 cals a day, healthy. I also began to take v-12. I have been taking muscle milk for the protien source for quite some time now. My diet is fine. I was just asking about zinc, fish oil, and anything else that might help in muscle growth. I'm doing it for research not to take.

Also, I never intended for a supp to be a miracle worker. I know that for a fact. But, it is a "boost" in training, and helps get those heavier weights up. Plus, I just started bodybuilding 7 months ago. Went from 140-170 lbs, 135-270 on bench, 135-280 squat. I know lifting is not a one day thing, but a long drawn out process that I bust my ass at.

Your only question.

Yes, zinc is so cheap that there is no excuse for getting at least 50mg/ day. As for fish oil. What are u going to substitute it for. Try to consume the 2:1 ratio we have spoken about so many times before. Keep the intake of fish/flax/(all vegggy) oils up and the saturated fats DOWN.

if you put on 30lb in 7 months WITHOUT getting fat, then stick to what you are doing, add in the supps (multi-vit/flax/fish/zinc/creatine)
stick with it for 1-2 years then start to think about hormone manipulation

my only real suggestion is to do a bf check throught
same person using same method to make sure you aren't adding too much fat

I wasn't bashing him for steroid use but for trolling.

I only drop by here on occasion. Yes, for alot of guys getting 5000 cals a day is very difficult. SInce you are 170, try to be selective in where you get those calories in order to minimuze body fat gains. In all honesty, while Muslce Milk can be a bit pricey, if you just can't seem to get in enough calories in the form of real food, it isn't that bad of a substitute. At least they add in some EFA's without fructose and a ton of synthetic sugars. My advice is to take at least 6 grams of fish oil a day. If you are on a tight budget, this is really a must have dietary suppliment if you are not eating some form of salt water fish several times a week.

Ensure Plus, athough not the most cost effective way to do it, should cover most of your vitamin and mineral needs that aren't being fulfilled by your high caloric intake. Give me a quick breakdown of your diet, if you don't mind, and I'll see what recomendations I can make. If you appear to be leaning out, but are gaining weight and people are telling you that you look bigger, you are heading in the right direction, even if you don't see it inthe mirror. Sometimes we are our own worst critics.

For those who don't understand where I'm coming from, I do ALOT of research on nutrition, as well as supplimentation, because I'm working on my BA in nutritional science. I plan on being a dietician after finishing college. I believe that the greater majority of suppliments are worthless, and many of the ones that are beneficial are way overpriced for what they contain. This isn't to say that people shouldn't make efforts to get certain fatty acids, vitamins, minerals etc, in the form of supplimentation if there is a benefit to doing so, but people should take the time to research, or at least get expert opinions outside of those who make their living selling these products. Flex magazine and the salesman at GNC are hardly good sourced of unbiased information.

ZK, you know my stance on saturated fat of course. I stand with the offical National Dietectics Association on this one. Its risks are over-rated, and it should be included and reasonable amounts in any heathy diet. The saturated fat needs of atheletes who desire to gain lbm are much higher than the average individual, since it has a huge impact on testosterone production in non-steroid using individuals.

Lifter CA, I'll usually see your posts on the diet forum if you need to reach me. I get 3 or 4 diet questions in PM's a day, so that is a good way to reach me if you have specific questions or have a thread you want me to take a look at. SOmetimes I have time to type long replies (2+ pages), but often times not. I usually check my PM's between classes.

I have same views on Saturated fats as you in that case... but I don' t think people need to supplement their fat intakes w/ any sat fat. It's ever present in good tasting foods, I like promoting low fat diets with EXCESS fish/flax oil supplementation.

ZK, agreed, one can easily get the saturated fat necissary from meat. Supplimentation would be silly. I would agree with you that taking in large amounts of omega 3's shouldn't be harmful, and although one quickly reaches a point of deminished returns on the gains, they aren't exactally expensive if one shops around, and aare a higher quality source of calories than most. Thus if one must get their calories from somewhere, extra fish oil, flax seed oil, walnutts and other sources rich in omega 3's are an excellent choice.

Oh, for the zinc, I believe one can easily get more than enough zinc from multi-vitamins, and their diet without resorting to supplimenting it, or any other heavy metals. In some cases it could elevate to toxic levels in your body and excessive amounts of metals such as iron, copper, zinc etc can interfear with the absorbsion of other metals, thus inadvertantly creating a decifiency in something else. I'm not saying this WILL happen to everyone who uses it, however it does happen, and is a very real possibility. Zinc is something the body only needs or benefits from in trace amounts.

Very cool. The board could benefit alot from you being here. Feel free to chime in if you see something that needs to be clairified.

Very interesting BBF, I just got my BS in dietetics and am in grad school for the same. Not that I'm helping the thread, just interesting to meet similar people.
